Obama Advisor: "He is bored to death and too talented for ordinary people"
Pittsburgh Live ^ | November 15, 2010 | Ralph Reiland

Posted on 11/15/2010 6:35:44 PM PST by GlockThe Vote

In his biography of Obama, "The Bridge," David Remnick, editor of The New Yorker, quotes White House senior adviser and longtime Obama friend Valerie Jarrett: "I think Barack knew that he had God-given talents that were extraordinary. He knows exactly how smart he is. ... He knows how perceptive he is. He knows what a good reader of people he is. And he knows that he has the ability -- the extraordinary, uncanny ability -- to take a thousand different perspectives, digest them and make sense out of them, and I think that he has never really been challenged intellectually. ... So what I sensed in him was not just a restless spirit but somebody with such extraordinary talents that had to be really taxed in order for him to be happy. ... He's been bored to death his whole life. He's just too talented to do what ordinary people do."

Talk about a "yes man" -- or a devotee woman. The boss is so "extraordinary," so above the "ordinary" man, that he's been long-term bored to death -- untaxed, unhappy, uncanny and unchallenged.

And now unappreciated -- simultaneously called "pathetic" and "tone-deaf," respectively, by the left in The Progressive and the right in The Washington Times.

Turns out that Jarrett's wrong -- there's nothing "extraordinary" about Obama's talent in reading people or understanding economics.

I thought the maxim was "intelligent people never get bored".

Of course, if he is that bored, he should invite Dr. Kevorkian to the WH for a sleep-over.

What a piece of readable fellatio.

That was my exact perception. Only I would call it "fellatio journalism". "Groupie journalism" would be more polite.

The author is not kind to Obama. He is using the quotes to show how delusional obama is.

That he is also is a veritable Mulligan Stew of psychological pathologies makes him even MORE dangerous. Even a shrink as bright at Charles Krauthammer has trouble finding enough words to adequately describe what’s going on in the guy’s head.

My take is that he is a rare form of idiot savant whose “gift” is an urge to engage in mindless and continual eloqution and public oratory. His egocentrism and narcissism — probably resulting from having been abandoned first by his father then his mother — found in ALL politicians has reached a far higher level in him than in others and requires him to be “on” and the center of attention at all times.

(Even MSNBC leftist talker Ed Shultz, fresh from a visit to the White House, reported that Obama has turned the place into a shrine to – surprise – OBAMA, with portraits of his first year – and hopefully, his LAST full year – in office EVERYWHERE! Can you say “egomaniac?”)

Couple that with the problem described by microbiologist P.B. Medawar that

“(…) the spread of secondary and latterly tertiary education has created a large population of people, often with well-developed literary and scholarly tastes, who have been educated far beyond their capacity to undertake analytical thought”
and you have a formula for the creature known as Obama.

He is as lacking in the ability to think critically as are the voters who put him in office and who now bear full responsibility for the possibly irreparable damage now being done to this country by Obama and his minions.

The bigger problem – as pointed out by another Freeper – is that when the veneration by his former devotees fades and, like Hitler in his Berlin bunker, he begins to feel that they are not intelligent enough to appreciate his “brilliance,” he could become an even more dangerous and destructive creature than he is now.

I’m no psychologist, but this sounds like terminal Narcissism!

Wow - the Democrats have a real problem....and it will telegraph to the rest of us. A leadership vacumn is a dangerous thing!

Surrounded by a bunch of lying sycophants like Jarrett this guy actually believes the nonstop crap he’s been fed his entire life. Must be very difficult for such a fragile ego to finally realize he’s nothing but a poser.

Watching this guy being challenged for the first time in his life is going to be very entertaining.

This needs to get a lot of publicity so that the little people will come to appreciate how truly extraordinary their Leader is, how much smarter than other mortals.

Give me a friggin break. Seven vacations, golfing, even during a natural disaster, flying out of town for “date nights” and eating more ice cream that a six year old.
