California Suggests Suicide; Texas Asks: Can I Lend You a Knife?
Forbes ^ | November 15, 2010 | Joel Kotkin

In the future, historians may likely mark the 2010 midterm elections as the end of the California era and the beginning of the Texas one. In one stunning stroke, amid a national conservative tide, California voters essentially ratified a political and regulatory regime that has left much of the state unemployed and many others looking for the exits.

I feel sorry for all the California Conservatives. Y’all are welcome to come to Texas as long as you leave the liberals behind.

Texas wouldn’t dare hand them a knife. Those sissies wouldn’t know how to use one. But we can, by gum, let them see the business end of our guns if they need to be put out of their misery.

Only problem is CA is exporting the same idiots that caused the problems to other states. CO is one, and they are after TX now as well. Liberalisim/socialism is a cancer and it’s spreading.

the brainy former Houston Mayor Bill White, enjoyed robust business support and was widely considered more competent

Really? Why is Houston on the brink of bankruptcy?

Texas better be careful what she wishes for. You don’t want liberal Californians streaming to your state and transforming you into another California.

What’s happening in California is the Mexicanization of the state. I’m sure Texas does not want the Californification of their state.

Man, I’d hate to be Conservative in California!

Even the movie industry will probably go to Texas.

Will the last non-illegal alien from California turn the lights out?

Get out of Kalifornia, while you are still allowed to!

I wonder if the high officials from the old Soviet Union will run in the next California election?

I haved an idea. Let's declare martial law in California. Then give the counties that have a majority of voters registered as Democrats to La Raza to start their new nation--with the priviso that all registered Democrats must become citizens of the La Raza Nation and must remain in it.

If you don't want to do that, let's round them all up and air drop thim into North Korea.

Frankly, if I had a choice between having Pleosi run the next election and Putin, I’d pick Putin without a moment’s hesitation.

This thread presumes there are only two states.

The problem with that presumption is - both border Mexico.

If TX doesn’t get a handle on illegal immigration, TX will fare no better than CA.

Be very careful what you ask for. Normally Kalefornians can be identified by their first statement on arriving. “That isn’t how we did it in California.” On hearing this statement you should be return them to California and not permitted to leave to pollute your State. Just ask Colorado!

Too late. North Dallas (Telecom corridor) and the Austin area is full of transplanted, Kalifornia pond scum.

Huh? Screw that “y’all are welcome” bull $h!t. The fact is, there ain’t no such thing as a California conservative. They can stay where they are and clean up their own mess.

Excluding federal debt, California has ONE HALF OF THE PUBLIC DEBT IN THE US. Politically Obama can’t bail them out. But the Federal Reserve can by buying their debt. The FED does not have to exclusively buy Treasuries. Look for the FED to buy California’s bond issue. Kalifornia is going to finance short term obligations with long term debt. That’s what RATS do. And we will get stuck for the bill. WHO BACKS THE FED?? Would that be us? Hmmmm???

Good one! Bill White did his best to ruin Houston, and partially succeeded.
