Great we have 41 people who the IRS needs to send a letter and send them a prepaid postage to mail in the extra money for the IRS.

That's not necessary; they make it a lot easier.

“Forty-five of the nation’s wealthiest taxpayers, dubbing themselves “Patriotic Millionaires for Fiscal Strength,” are asking President Barack Obama to let tax breaks expire for those making more than $1 million.”

There are over 6 million millionaires in the U.S. so speak for yourselves.

Anyone want to bet these are all Democrat millionaires who benefit from the government?

And they likely don't pay much in the way of taxes, anyway -- as they arrange their financial affairs so as to minimize income taxes and maximize wealth.

If you've got a $billion invested in tax-free municipals, another billion invested in real estate and a third billion invested in gold or common stocks -- plus trust funds and foundations -- you may well not report more than $250,000 in adjust gross income.

If they feel their taxes should be higher, then they should write a bigger check.

I love this comment from the link:

Out of all the millionaires in the United states they could only find 45 that were that dumb.

Just: a flat tax where EVERYBODY pays into the system

An income tax that everyone pays. No one is off the hook, especially not as it is now where approximately 47 percent of the people who don’t, are pitted against the 53 percent that do. It is a small price to pay for the privilege of living in the greatest country on earth.

Anyone with half a brain, knows that “tax cuts for the rich”, is just leftist, buzz words. You might as well say tax cuts for tax payers, except that doesn’t have the explosive nature of the other, which is more like pouring gasoline on the conflagration.

Propaganda, and deception, the only tools left in the bag, when you don’t deal in TRUTH.

They can make that decision for themselves and exempt themselves.

They do not have to right to speak for all others.
1. They do not know any special circumstances other may or may not have that would make their circumstances different in scope to those who were willing to exempt themselves
2. IT IS NONE OF THEIR BUSINESS to say what others should or should not be able to do simply because they had a particular income that year.

I can think of reasons that would make significant differences in circumstances between someone who is working hard for everything they get as apposed to someone who inherited their money and does nothing but sit around the pool all day.

The tax code is obscene in it’s technical loopholes. The cheaters sign a letter. That’s what I get from this post.

Yeah, exactly. Has anyone pointed out to them that one can make a voluntary contribution to the treasury?

If they want to personally pay more there is absolutely NO ONE stopping them. In fact, there are hands out and waiting for them to do so!

A "progressive" income tax simply soaks the "rich," punishes success, and invites class warfare rhetoric.

Progressive = Liberal = Socialism = Un-American.

Whoopie Gopldberg is rich. Joy Behar is rich. Sean Penn is rich.

Clearly, wealth has no correlation with intellect.

Every person, including these “wealthy” morons, is permitted to pay additional federal taxes if they wish. The problem is, they want to force OTHERS to pay additional taxes instead.
