I don’t think Rahm is eligible to run. Of course, the Illinois Supreme Court is manned by relatively corrupt political hacks, so who knows what will happen. The Daley admin tolerated corruption, but he knew how to run the city. I’m afraid with the likes of Mosley Braun or Danny Davis in charge, there’ll still be corruption, but the city will end up a hell hole like Detroit or Philadelphia.
Yep, I agree, especially about Danny Davis. Any guy who refuses to reject an endorsement from the “spokesman” for the Vice Lords street gang is not someone I want anywhere near the mayor’s office.

Alderman Edward Burke was elected in 1969. He chairs the Citys Finance Committee. He slates all the Cook County judges. Burke is de facto head of the Judicial Branch of Chicagos government.
That’s legislative, financial and judicial clout.
