Next thing you know they will put posters up at the Airport Security lines, saying "We give cash rewards of up to $500 for those reporting fellow passengers in line who complain about our TSA procedures which are for your safety, security and peace-of-traveling-mind. Go ahead. Be a good citizen. Report on your suspicious neighbors and be eligible for our big monthly drawing."
All true. I think it is far more important to focus on the overall idea of doing this to the people than it is to focus on the individual humiliations.

The much touted underware bomber would not have been detected by either the machine or hand search....The TSA has admitted that in testimony before Congress....
The TSA however could have detected the underware bomber at least 4 times prior to the flight...
1. Paid for a one way ticket in cash from a Muslim country.
2. Had no luggage.
3. Had no cold weather clothes, jacket etc... although he was flying into Detroit at Christmas time.
4. His FATHER called the US embassy and told them that he was a radical and was planning something, giving them the flight info...

That is just incorrect. There are lots of things to be pissed off about with the new enhanced screening, but lets not spread inaccuracies.

A courageous Republican Congressman who will be in a committee leadership position from 4 January should announce NOW they are preparing hearings and congressional subpoenas on this topic if necessary, over the Holidays, and will begin the hearings immediately into the next session. Each airline must be allowed FREEDOm to do what it wants to with it's PRIVATE property and get government out of it , abolish the TSA, EPA ,FCC etc..Are you going to abolish the FAA too? Lets see, how many times have you trusted your life to an airline whose aircraft are maintained by 3rd world (lack of) standards? Its time to shake the anarchist dust off our heels and realize that all the best institutions, the services, the advances in science and technology which constitute the light of Civilization as we know it the were made possible by the organization or resource, as the result the Nation State and not a bunch of libertarian pipe dreamers. The problem with TSA is not the security apparatus or the powers it is imbued with, but the fact the we refuse to behave as a Nation State, we are trying to behave as a postmodern post-empire with a diluted national identity and that clearly does not work. Read "The Clash of Civilizations" and "Who Are We" by the late S.P. Huntington. If we were to behave as a Nation State, we would stop submitting to every ridiculous demand for diversity and political correctness issuing from minority groups and would instead apply assimilating pressure to those groups. We would stop trying to reconcile non-complimentary cultures into the fabric or our society and instead assert our own American exceptionalism. You can be a part of America as long as you can (and show that you do) fit in and assimilate into our culture and values. Fix the postmodern schizophrenia of the national psyche and everything else will right itself out.

I told them that ISRAEL has solved their security problems in non-invasive ways....why has America chosen not to????
