Refuse to be groped or scanned - face $11,000 fine and/or arrest

For travelers going through Spokane International Airport - or any airport - this holiday season, the choice is simple. Either go through a device that allows security personnel to see your body through your clothing, get felt up and groped, or find another way to your destination.

According to an article at the Sun-Sentinel:

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is warning that any would-be commercial airline passenger who enters an airport checkpoint and then refuses to undergo the method of inspection designated by TSA will not be allowed to fly and also will not be permitted to simply leave the airport.

If you refuse to be scanned or groped, you could face a penalty of $11,000 and possible arrest.

Miami-based TSA spokesperson Sari Koshetz told the Sentinel that passengers who first submit and then refuse the process would be questioned by authorities "until it is determined that they don't pose a threat"

The Sentinel reported that the ACLU is urging Americans to petition the Department of Homeland Security to change the policy. In a statement, the group said,

"All of us have a right to travel without such crude invasions of our privacy. Tell DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano to put in place security measures that respect passengers' privacy rights. You shouldn't have to check your rights when you check your luggage."

But the TSA plans to continue the invasive practice.

Maybe the airlines themselves should form a union and go on strike. Shut down the bulk of the commercial airline industry for a week or two and see what happens. They should be as ticked off at this policy as anybody, given that it has a profoundly negative effect on their business.

I know that I won’t fly under these rules.

That's the other shoe to drop - the totalitarian one.

Funny ad!

TSA must be letting hordes of experienced molesters out of jail under a new DADT policy for 0b0z0’s paramilitary.

...what they will say.....

....will be a lie....

...or nothing at all....

....crickets chirping away....

...that "they" kept the public safe from bombers..

...that the "screening" didn't have anything to do with the harm to people that was caused by the radiation, mental anguish, humiliation, condescension and degradation of passengers.....not to mention the destruction of the airlines..

....the TSA didn't have anything to do with this..it had to have been the stubbornness and ignorance of the American People...

..I could say that the law of unintended consequences is alive and well..........but I can't say with any confidence that the consequences were indeed not intended.

....If I set about to destroy the airline system, I think I would do exactly what the TSA is doing...humiliating passengers so they quit the system...

...as for me and my family....we ain't getting on an airline to go anywhere until this mess is over...

.....so if there is any airline executive here....you are not getting my money until you convince the TSA to stand down and get out of our face!

If one is not allowed to leave, that’s false imprisonment.
If one is not agreeable to the groping, that’s sexual assault.
If the gov’t does either, it’s OK.
If anyone else does it, they’re arrested.

Sounds like tyranny, looks like tyranny, yep, it’s
tyranny.

This appears to be more about intimidation and control than actually stopping terrorist attacks.

Much easier than singling out persons on the do not fly list and those travelling from nations that export terrorism.
