.... Mexicans are deadly serious about taking the land.

Mexico has a history and a culture. Part of it is a palpable and deep sense of national shame at losing Aztlán. With it, Mexico was once one of the world's largest and at least potentially, richest countries. They believe that the reason they are now a poor and struggling nation is because of this Yanqui-inflicted loss. Reconquest is part of the national psyche from the top down. Other Latin American consider Mexicans a bit megalomaniac on the subject.

Few Americans realize that in the period of the Mexican War, Mexico was larger than the US, and had a bigger, vastly more experienced military. The war was lost ... and the huge territories ... largely due to political and military mismanagement. Militarily, this was an absolutely incredible feat of arms by the American armed forces against overwhelming numerical and logistical odds!

Furthermore, even these low-end Mexicans in the anecdotes seem to have a firmer grasp on simple arithmetic than our post 1965-government. That is, if all immigration ... legal and illegal ... were to end tonight, the US will still demographically evolve as Latin America's northernmost country within 150 years ... or less.

European-descended Americans will simply be the minority population. The real question: will we look and become like Chile, or Bolivia? My real question: Why is it that African-American leaders, whose "people" are being economically displaced FIRST by this demographic trend caused by illegal immigration have little or nothing to say on the subject?

The Congressional Black Caucus could lead America on this vital issue. Imagine that. by

I think people living in the US now look at Detroit as the place we are going.

They look at Mexico, and they say, “Looks like Detroit.”

At the end of the day, all people, even Mexicans, don’t want to live in Mexico because it’s horrible.

Like the Russians used to say, “You Americans have the best stuff.”

Some people haven’t received the news that the show is over, at least for now. We aren’t creating unbelievable wealth from pieces of mortgage-backed paper.

They aren’t giving multiple mortgages to strawberry pickers making $14,000/year any more.

You can’t just start a business here in the US with a good idea and an hour’s worth of paperwork anymore. To hire a $45,000/year employee, you have to spend $70,000/year.

The Chinese, Mexicans, Venezuelans, and Iranians - all with visions of world conquest - don’t really have a plan.

China has enough headaches managing that huge mess they have over there. Mexico has the same problem.

The real issue here in the US is that we HAD the answer. We know what works, but we walked away from it anyway.

Rollback government, then cripple it, and let the States do their thing. It may be too late for the west. California, Oregon, and Washington think that people will put up with anything just to get a spot next to the Pacific, and they may be right.
