FORT SMITH, Ark. -- Detectives said a suspect was shot to death after an attempted home invasion robbery. The Fort Smith police said at 7:30 Friday night a man wearing a mask entered the home at 8401 S. 30th Circle in Fort Smith demanding prescription medicine. Police said he came in through the front door, which was unlocked.
The homeowner told police the suspect flashed a gun, causing him to pull a gun of his own. The homeowner shot and killed the suspect. There were three other people in the home at the time of the incident, police said.
Detectives said the investigation is still in its preliminary stages, but as of now they are not anticipating any charges against the homeowner.
Det. Sgt. Anthony Bowers said, "Preliminary investigation suggests maybe it was a justified shooting. In self-defense."
Police said the investigation will be turned over to the prosecuting attorney for review.
Home owner - 1
Home invader - 0
A perfect outcome.
As it SHOULD be (dangerous)
Good for the home owner! Saved others from being victimized and the taxpaers alot of dough!

If the perp had burst through the door shouting Allahu Akbar, the press would be wringing its hands and wondering what the people of Fort Smith had done to the poor creature to cause such behavior. Theres evil in the world folks.
A number of years ago my husband had surgery. He was given a prescription for some pain pills to take afterwards. He took maybe 3 or 4 then didn't need any more.
One of his co-workers started asking him about his pain pills, what he had been given and if he had any left. The guy then asked my husband if he could have the rest of the bottle. He refused the request. When he told me about the conversation, I told him to go back and tell the idiot co-worker ("I have a bad back") that we had flushed the rest of the bottle.
I didn't want to come home one day and find out my house had been broken into.
The cleansing of the gene pool continues.
