(NaturalNews) Slammed by a barrage of phone calls and emails today that the mainstream media isn't even reporting, the U.S. Senate today has decided to postpone their vote on S.510 -- the Food Safety Modernization Act -- until Tuesday morning.

Internet reports that S.510 has already passed are incorrect. The final bill has not yet been voted on (only a motion to move forward was voted on).

The Tester Amendment has been passed (see below for more details) which would exclude the smaller farm operations from the more onerous provisions of the bill.

"The vote on the amendment that would repeal the 1099 IRS reporting requirement for small businesses failed, leaving America's small business owners frantically looking for ways to move their businesses offshore before this outrageous new paperwork requirement kicks in by early 2011. (http://www.naturalnews.com/028854_1...)

It was virtually all Democrats, by the way, who voted to keep this outrageous 1099 law in place. (http://www.senate.gov/legislative/L...) It's almost as if the Democratic Senators can't wait to drive U.S. small business owners out of the country and destroy the U.S. economy in the process."

This is what our wonderful Congresspeeps are focused on. For whatever reason this bill is even up for consideration; for whichever industry paid off what gaggle of representatives. Not whether everyone in the country will be hit with a serious tax increase.

We didn’t fire enough of these twerps Nov 02.

Hi,

I believe it is Monsanto that gets the dough with this one. I was listening to Cavuto today and they talked about this bill. I didn’t bother to call since my senator is ‘lord help us’ Boxer and she’s set for another 6 years so what does she care!

All you Louisanna small bidnez owners still suffering from the effects of the oil spill and hurricanes.....you can thank Senator Mary Landrieu (D-LA), for making certain you file a 1099 for any transaction of $600 or more.... She voted to defeat "Motion to Suspend Rule XXII Re: Johanns Amdt. No. 4702" yesterday....

VOTE RESULT

I bet some of you even voted for her.....

Because of the November election the leftist have had to excelerate their deliberate bankruptcy of America and destruction of the private sector economy.

Two ways they have done this is to infuse $600 billion into the economy $75 billion per month and this Food Safety Bill.

These two acts will ensure the skyrocketing of food prices.

Is this not deliberate?

According to Glen Beck, MONSANTO is the culprit and if this bill passes, it will impact our food supply and, long term, could even result in starvation. It definitely will cause food prices to go high. This is nothing but more dirty political manipulation by the Democrats. And, according to Beck, George Soros and his henchmen/women are involved in this, also. They seem to be everywhere.
