A while ago, I read an article that detailed the correlation between the time when presidents (or the spokespeople) describe their "great confidence" in someone to the time that it takes them to be fired. As you might guess, it's quick.
I wish I could find that piece, it's funny. But I can't for the life of me remember where I read it.

Looks like BO ordered Gibbs to try and make HC the fall gal for BO’s WikiLeaks.
“Secretary Clinton is doing a great job,” Mr. Gibbs said. “The president has great confidence in and admires the work that Secretary Clinton has done.”
