You don’t seem to understand. We don’t have the power to do anything yet. We won the House in November but don’t take our seats until January. We have no power yet. What aren’t you understanding about this?
So if I understand you correctly, you would rather that the middle class have to endure a substantial tax increase while the economy is still in the tank rather than give the RATs anything! You “purists” really give me a pain in the a$$. I don’t like anything about the part of this deal that give the RATs something, but at least I am enough of a realist to understand that under the current conditions this is what’s available.
One deal I do hope we make is the START treaty. The sooner we reduce the overkill in nuclear weapons in Russia the safer we will be. The more nukes they have, the greater the danger they will get in the hands of free lance terrorists or the money hungry mafias there.
