WASHINGTON House Democrats voted Thursday to reject President Barack Obama's tax deal with Republicans in its current form, but it was unclear how significantly the package might need to be changed. By voice vote in a closed caucus meeting, Democrats passed a resolution saying the tax package should not come to the House floor for consideration as written, even though no formal House bill has been drafted. Rep. Peter DeFazio, D-Ore., introduced the resolution.

Dems - party of No (snicker)
They agree with Palin! wow!
What I don't like is unemployment for THREE YEARS is insane. They must DO something. Get part time jobs. Start a business. That's what we did. We started a business. We are on NO government assistance and living off savings. It can be done! We are doing it and we have our dignity and Protestant work ethic intact.
Woohoo! Now KILL it for good. No compromising with Hussein.
“Democrats passed a resolution saying the tax package should not come to the House floor for consideration as written, even though no formal House bill has been drafted. Rep. Peter DeFazio, D-Ore., introduced the resolution.”
So something is written but it can NOT be voted on and there is no formal WRITTEN resolution. This is crazy.
No,they don’t agree with Palin atleast I hope NOT.
Demoncrats don’t want Bush tax cuts extended. Is this what Palin wants too?
Part of the deal was extending unemployment benefits. Lets milk this:
The democrats are denying relief to the unemployed. Millions will have an unhappy Christmas.
Jim DeMint doesn’t like the Bill either because of the Unemployment Benefits extension.
I don’t want ANY compromise with the devil, Obama either.
It’s time to play HARD BALL. Obama is a wimp and eventually the Republicans can get what they want. They just have to hang in there and put it to that S.O.B..
She is against the bill because of the unemployment extention, but they both want it dead.
Typical transparency.

Do you really believe that people should be on unemployment for THREE YEARS? THREE YEARS? That is what the extension would allow. That is over the top!
The ROOT problem must be addressed. The PRIVATE SECTOR must be allowed to GROW and not be penalized. As entrepreneurs, we'd LOVE to hire but can't. The hell care bill is fuzzy and when you are in start up mode, hell care is the last thing on your mind. We don't have ANY health care insurance right now. We are NOT on ANY government assistance either.
It is galling that people who are unemployed should get THREE YEARS of UNEMPLOYMENT. It will bite us later and will NEVER END unless BUSINESS is allowed to hire and make money. We can't ALL work for the government or DRAIN TAX PAYERS with UNEMPLOYMENT. It's WRONG and people have to GET OUT THERE and DO SOMETHING!
Republicans had better hope that the ‘RATS put a poison pill in it because that’s the only way they can save face and oppose the bill. Otherwise they’ll have to hope the ‘RATS kill the bill themselves.
Incompetent Republicans have stepped in it again and allowed Obama to frame the argument so that he’ll come out smelling like a rose no matter what happens.
Where Is the leadership in the Republican party? Why aren’t they running to the microphone too, to counteract him every time B.O. runs out there to spew his false premises”.
Why do they continue to sit back like bumps on a log and allow themselves to be blind-sided and rolled by the ‘RATS every day of the week.
I am sick to death of these dumbasses.
I AGREE with that.
When you “get lemons in life, you find a way to make lemonade.” People have to buck up. We did. We haven't made any money yet, but we are as determined as hell to make it and NOT have the government TAKE the fruits of our labor. We know it's tough out there. We are living off our savings. We are the kindof people Obama HATES the most, WHITE and marching forward to keep our dignity and giving him the "bird". We never lived "large" and always saved. Thank GOD we did that.
I think it's 99 weeks. Which is still too long, granted, but the bill doesn't extend that.
When I first heard this, I wondered if it wasn't the plan all along.
