Fox News: Tax Bill Exploding into massive earmarks and add-ons
Fox News Channel | 12/10/10

Posted on 12/10/2010 1:20:49 PM PST by pabianice

Hundreds of earmarks being added for things like American Samoan tourism, biofuels subsidies, "green appliance" mandates -- a real mess. What happened to "a done deal"? Tax bill has disintegrated into Stimulus II; Republicans reportedly not fighting back. Was November meaningless?

The rats are putting on a freak show of government waste and corruption for the world to see.
How utterly pathetic!

It took generations to get us into this cesspool of corruption and broken government. One election wasn’t going to cure it.

We have a long struggle ahead of us to reclaim our country. November wasn’t final victory. It was only the first one of many that are needed.

GOP MUST say Merry Christmas and walk out. Call a National news conference and tell the American people they will return in January to bring back sanity and fix this problem.

Bye Bye RATs and RINOs.

Just as with the “Stimulus” bill and TARP, this is out and out looting of the public fisc in time of an emergency. They should be treated as all looters ought.

Gives the republicans a very good reason to just say NO.

If that was ZerO’s plan he badly miscalculated. He will get the blame.

We’d better hope that the ‘RATS put a poison pill in it so that the Republicans can save face (after getting rolled once again), and oppose it.

Republicans had better hope that the ‘RATS put a poison pill in it because that’s the only way they can save face and oppose the bill. Otherwise they’ll have to hope the ‘RATS kill the bill themselves.
Incompetent Republicans have stepped in it again and allowed Obama to frame the argument so that he’ll come out smelling like a rose no matter what happens.
Where Is the leadership in the Republican party? Why aren’t they running to the microphone too, to counteract him every time B.O. runs out there to spew his false premises”.
Why do they continue to sit back like bumps on a log and allow themselves to be blind-sided and rolled by the ‘RATS every day of the week.
I am sick to death of these dumbasses.

“The RATS are well on their way to owning the tax hike on the middle class.”

We’d better hope the ‘RATS kill it, and NOT the Republicans. Obama has positioned himself to take credit no matter if it passes or not. Republicans had better wise up on how to handle the street-fighter ‘RATS. As usual they’ve already stepped in it and gotten rolled again. They are too stupid to even know how to frame their argument to upset the ‘RATS “plan”. Indeed, these dumb-asses aren’t even smart enough to know the ‘RATS are in the process of implementiing a plan. That’s why they don’t even HAVE a plan they can counter with let alone articulate. The ‘RATS fill the vacuum as usual. We are in DIRE need of competent leadership. bttt

Trent Lott [R] on Tea Party candidates: ‘As soon as they get here, we need to co-opt them’

http://blogs.ajc.com/jay-bookman-blog/2010/07/19/trent-lott-on-tea-party-candidates-as-soon-as-they-get-here-we-need-to-co-opt-them/

The money quote from a Washington Post piece on the Tea Party and Washington’s GOP establishment:

Former Senate majority leader Trent Lott (R-Miss.), now a D.C. lobbyist, warned that a robust bloc of rabble-rousers spells further Senate dysfunction. “We don’t need a lot of Jim DeMint disciples,” Lott said in an interview. “As soon as they get here, we need to co-opt them.”

But Lott said he’s not expecting a tea-party sweep. “I still have faith in the visceral judgment of the American people,” he said.
