McConnell vows to grill vulnerable 2012 Dems on healthcare reform repeal

Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell (Ky.) said he will force Democrats to vote on a repeal of the landmark healthcare reform law when Republicans control half of Congress next year.

“I’m hoping we will receive from the House of Representatives a full repeal of Obamacare; it will be hard to get that through the Senate,” McConnell said on CNN's "State of the Union."

McConnell said he hopes “that among those who had maybe second thoughts in the Senate, including the 23 Democrats who are up for re-election in ’12, there will be some openness to revisiting what I think is the think is the single worst piece of legislation in my time in the Senate.”

Democrats are nervous about controlling their Senate majority after the 2012 election as 21 Democratic senators, as well as two independents who caucus with them, face re-election in what is expected to be a difficult political environment.

Republicans will control the House and incoming Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) plans to pass a repeal of the healthcare law.

Republicans, who remain in the Senate minority, do not control the upper chamber’s floor schedule, but they could attempt to force a vote on a healthcare repeal by offering it as an amendment to other legislation or using variety of other floor tactics.

My two socialist senators will vote against it, unfortunately. At least I have a great congressman who will definitely vote for it.

I sure hope it's for full repeal and not a half-way measure of only 2 years relief from a huge income tax increase and an immediately huge increase in the Death Tax which would probably fund the Death Panels in Obamacarelessness!!!

Senator McConnell, the resentment toward the Dems and Harry, Nancy & Obama, Inc. is white hot!!!

Strike while the metal is hot and and easier to shape to our desire!!!

Senator McConnell, this is NOT the time to be resting on any perceived "laurels" over the short-lived taxation stabalization!!!

Don't be afraid to succeed and get in there and fight you A$$ off!!!

Don't even let 'em come up for air until all the battles against the Demonicrat vulgarities are won by Republicans with mettle, for a change!!!

Carpe Deim!!!

He can’t even keep his own d@mn caucus together during this lame-duck session.

I’m sure the Dems are quaking in their boots (with laughter).

So far I like what I’m hearing from McConnell.

START—Kill the bill.
DREAM killed.
Omnibus killed.
DADT is the only real defeat so far.

Not bad considering that RATS control Congress.

So when does McConnell grill the GOP senators who supported and/or voted for repeal of DADT?

I'm not sure about the power of "We The People/Tea Party" rhetoric. After all, they couldn't even defeat Reed last month. Unlike O'Donnell, Angle didn't face much resistances from some RINOs. In fact, she got a lot of money, supports, etc. Yet, she lost. Yes, no doubt there were cheatings involved, but those should have been in the calculation already.

IMO, Angle didn’t run a strong campaign. Reid has years of dirt that should have been exposed and he should have been challenged much more intensely. Whomever ran her campaign, ran a gutless one. Considering all the money that poured in, where did it go and for what? Until the GOP understands that they have to always be one step ahead of the slimes in the RAT party, they will lose. Voter fraud should have been addressed long before the election. SEIU thugs work on the voting machines in Nevada, give me a break! Gift cards given out for voting!

I watched Angle’s interviews and thought to myself how wimpy! Same goes for Carly in CA and Whitman.

Couldn’t agree more. Let’s hope that the Republicans turn Issa loose-— and that they start with Chicago.
