CARACAS, Venezuela (AP) -- President Hugo Chavez on Tuesday dared the U.S. government to expel his ambassador from Washington in response to Venezuela's rejection of the White House's choice for ambassador in Caracas.
Chavez reiterated that he will not allow the U.S. diplomat Larry Palmer to be ambassador, and said "if the government is going to expel our ambassador there, let them do it!" He added: "if they're going to cut diplomatic relations, let them do it!"

B.O. would never do that; he loves Chavez’s politics.
I wonder when Obama will start to suspect that you can’t placate our enemies, that they will still stab you in the back no matter how many times you bow to them? I wonder if he will ever think, that just maybe Bush wasn’t so wrong in his foreign policy posture when new enemies like Hugo Chavez builds missile bases aimed at the US.
And I wonder when gas hits $10 a gallon, and the economy is foundering, and the people are screaming, I wonder if he will wonder, even once, if cutting domestic production of oil was maybe not a good idea? That maybe the poor can’t afford a new Chevy Volt, and that the government can’t afford to buy everyone a new hybrid?
I wonder if he is really that stupid, that he has not known or even suspected these realities. -—Or is this on purpose?
Murphy Gas: A US product!
You finally worked yourself to the truth with your last sentence, which is a rhetorical question with an obvious answer.
I've noticed that, too. They have the same fundamental programs and objectives and are even using the same techniques. Hugo got his version of a lame-duck legislature to grant him the power to rule by decree (that is, by administrative order), and the US lame duck Congress essentially gave Obama the same power by creating or funding and empowering Obama's agencies, such as the EPA, to administratively impose policies that failed legislatively and against which there is apparently no recourse. Hugo did it more openly, but Obama did it too, and as usual, their actions were so close in time that it almost seemed as if they must have been on the phone with each other coordinating it.
Also, I think that this supposed outrage at the US on Chavez' part is all a red herring. Obama was heavily criticized at home for being too friendly with Chavez and too enthusiastic about VZ policies, and I think Chavez is helping Bambi distance himself a bit from VZ by making it look as if Chavez is angry with his best buddy.
Already doing that. I know most are independent but I just can not buy Citgo gas.
Would somebody please put a bullet into this guy’s head?
I'd rather walk.
We are his enemies. The America he wants is a socialist America that is on its knees internationally.
Showing for public consumption !
I like what King Juan Carlos said to Chavez is calling him a little boy in Spanish !
wow
good 4 u!
“We cant since we shut down gulf production. Yea I know, Obama did it too!”
The Idiots elected the worst possible person to the job on skin color alone.
“0bummer will not take any action against his, and Sean Penn’s bud, Hugo.”
They have a common agenda,to hurt America.
“Already doing that. I know most are independent but I just can not buy Citgo gas.”
Same here!
This is just a little love tap from Hugo.
Obongo and Chavez are dance partners. This dance is put on for the benighted populations of both nations. Both honchos benefit from this little stunt
Exactly.
