It is a building which has only recently been converted into what looks like a nice restaurant. This will make it less attractive I’m sure.

Ouch. Someone spent a lot of money doing that. Opening a restaurant takes lots 'o cash.

To have a robbery the opening year is going to hurt.

Would have been good advertising if a cook had slipped into the front and nailed both with knives.... but cooks stay in the back. And NEVER get robbed. You gonna rob a man with a razor sharp 8" chef's knife, 10 gallons of oil at 350F and several square feet of burning hot grill available? Not likely.... (We got a new special for next week!)

Yes, the location was once a low-end grocery and someone did put a lot of money into it. It looks nice and I’ve been told the food is very good, but everything to the west of it is literally crime-ridden, both to the north and the south. If they were just 2 blocks east of where they are, the odds of this happening would be dramatically lower. Now the “gentrified” folks from my side of the neighborhood won’t be going back, I suspect, and the food and prices are not likely to attract the other folks.
