Here’s some more eye-opening documentary and video by Steven Crowder.

The videos on YouTube are incredible. Americans traded liberty and freedom for a TV clicker.

This is what happens when Amish take over cities. Sad but true. Think I’ll stay out here in the country and let the big cities rot. Eff them.

Guess all the flooring was used for firewood (or weapons)??? There was a group of photos posted here a year or so ago of homes (once occupied) now grown over with trees and ivy that was shocking enough — but these are public buildings.

You got that right. People run around in circles and offer all kinds of excuses as to why but ignore the one thing that is consistent in each and every one of these s**t holes.

It is as though the city had been sacked by the Vandals...

Er, I don't think they're Germans who did this.

They are working on that...

Deep in financial crisis, Detroit wants to save itself by turning urban areas back to farmland

I read that Detroit residents were spotting pheasants growing wild within the city limits

I've seen them myself while spending 35 years at my plant on Detroit's east side. Just missed hitting a rooster with my car, it's wing clipped my front windshield.....

Yes. The Guardian is a leftist - trade union paper. The same people (leftist - Musgabe types) who destroyed Detroit are destroying America.

ALL of TV support them including Fox.

It look like the pictures of the town of Chernobyl after the nuclear disaster.

In retrospect, the Democrats have done a much better job destroying the country than the Russians ever could have with bombs

To 10 - The situation won’t come to a boil until this disease becomes more widespread. No person can deny what the most depraved, crime-ridden areas of their city or town are and who resides there. Yet, it is not politically correct to point this out.

The only problem with this is that the people living in that slum will move to other cities and destroy them also. The country needs to come down on these people and come down hard on them.

“It is as though the city had been sacked by the Vandals...”

Agree about the vandals for sure. Well, cities, like most everything else have a life cycle. In fact, there are abandoned cities all over the planet. Many of them with no apparent cause or reason for their abandonment. But, back to Detroit; personally, I think as portions of the city become vacant they should be razed and returned to farm land. The scrapped buildings and such could be used to fuel electric plant furnaces or become land fill - something useful.

What is so amazing in the photographs and videos on You Tube is these buildings were abandoned like Chernobyl or even faster. Libraries were they left the books - not like anyone in the city can read.

Offices in the office buildings were files and everything were just left behind. One of a local/regional stock brokerage. A dentist’s office. It is like people fled that day. Office buildings downtown that have been totally vacant for years.

Almost like a plague swept through quickly - aka the plaugue or liberalism.

The city of my birth. So very sad. I see no hope for Detroit. It’s citizens refuse to change and are too dependent on government. Once upon a time, Detroit was beautiful.

You could be describing the leadership of almost every country in the otherwise decolonized continent of Africa. That's where the Amish live, right?

ALL of TV support them including Fox.

Fox isn't perfect, but I wouldn't lump them in with the rest.

Detroit was once called “the Paris of the West.” It is now
“The Chernobyl of the West.”

“No doubt the other side of the ideological fence would look at these images and say they are the product of white flight, lack of an “industrial policy,” or any other variety of liberal grievance. “

I read the copy that went with these startling pix and that is indeed exactly what they do say. It’s all the fault of “Capitalism” don’t you know, and they even manage to blatantly blame white people.

Just useless in terms of analyzing what went wrong.

No wonder Detroit is ruined, as no one is willing to tell the truth about what destroyed it.
