They’re an underwelming bunch, that’s for sure. I think they ought to go ahead and re-elect Steele. He’s got the experience and should only get better.

Seriously, the unemployment levels could be in the twenties by then, his polls are tanking, and the lecture at Politico STILL think there’ll be a “fund-raising juggernaut” to re- elect the leader of the current regime in the WH???

I don’t much care for any of the ones running now, except Steele. I know you don’t like him, but I like the way he stood up for Christine O’Donnell when the establishment types were trashing her day in and day out.

If I remember right, Haley Barbour is supporting Reince Priebus and Priebus has been endorsed by some tea party backers and FreedomWorks. One of the CO RNC members told me he is supporting him as well.
If Freepers want to offer some input, pro/con on any of the candidates, you need to contact your RNC member.

Also remember, charisma is not the main characteristic we need. It’s the ability to fund raise and help the GOP win in November 2012. We also need someone who will support the tea party choices once they win primaries, as well as not alienate the GOP conservative base throughout the country. Sadly, Steele has done that. He has gotten better but his past actions have not gone well, which is why so many conservatives wanted to replace him last year.
