Unfortunately, snipers and anti-personel mines were never even considered. I think the fence remains a good idea but it certainly can’t work without concurrent changes in border policies and procedures.

Unfortunately, snipers and anti-personel mines were never even considered. I think the fence remains a good idea but it certainly can’t work without concurrent changes in border policies and procedures.

They come here because Americans give them money to come here. Take care of that, and you don't have to worry about enacting East Germany's border policies.

Like most solutions, the most effective one is also quite inexpensive and easy to implement - and intolerable to those whose livelihood and power depends therein.
