Yeah, gives Mayor Richard Daley a direct pipeline ino the White House. It’s the slightly more subtle method of really putting the Mayor in the WH. It’s a distinction without a difference.

Obama has no idea what's going to happen now. He started his regime with a couple of token Republicans, but no one he'd need to get close to. Now he's bringing in a Daley, and they dont' know any Republicans either.
One thing we do know about this particular Daley is that he spoke well of a mad bomber.

Wouldn’t it have been easier for all if obama ran the USA from Chicago instead of Washington? I’m sure we could have lent him the Lincoln desk for a term (or a replica of it. I hear obama likes forgeries)

One thing we do know about this particular Daley is that he spoke well of a mad bomber. The Daley Obama is considering is William, brother of current mayor Richard M. Daley. It was Mayor Daley who praised Bill Ayers for the "wonderful" job he is doing (ie, instructing teachers how to pass on to kids revolutionary communist ideology). He didn't say it that way of course, but that IS precisely what Ayers is doing as a university professor.
