The Laura Ingraham Show - Palin: Obama is hell bent on weakening America
Laura Ingraham Show ^ | 01/27/2011 | Laura Ingraham

Exerpts from a radio interview...

There is a lack of respect among the GOP elite for competition in elections, government, business anything.

I don't think the priorty should be capitulating or compromising on our principles. Americans aren't interested in compromise but in drawing some lines in the sand... today!

These new representatives should listen to the people. We put them into office We can take them out of office. We want a line drawn in the sand.

We keep giving the GOP chance after chance. Well for me this is their last chance.

The GOP elite have blown it. Don't be talking about compromise. Americans want them to draw a line in the sand.

Obama is hell bent on weakening America. He told us back in March of 06 that it weakens America domestically and internationaly and it was a sign of failed leadership to increase debt . Now he supports increasing American debt. What other reason could there be but to weaken America?

Funny how so many don’t think she’s presidential. Mostly Bob Dole backers. :)

Funny how so many think she is presidential, mostly those who don’t bother looking at what she really stands for.

Sorry, I searched and found nothing.
This woman has TRUE GRIT. God grant her and her family health & safety that our message can echo across America. She is the voice of conservative principles today.

He can weaken us, temporarily. He can certainly weaken us. He's the President, for goodness sakes. If he doesn't want us to be strong, safe, and prosperous, he can do a lot to keep us from being strong, safe and prosperous. Duh. Elections have consequences.

I look at what she actually stands for, and it looks damned good to me. Too bad every Republican doesn’t stand for the same things.

Too bad so many are willing to sell us out.

Don't post back to them. Responding posts are their opiate.

This should be the unified message from the GOP. Point out every initiative that is destroying this country every single day. Make this the narrative going into '12 and make Obummer defend what is indefensible to most voters. Make this issue similar to the constant harang Bush had in the last years of his Presidency, eroding what little faith Obummer has to begin with.

No I am not supporting the RINO’s but now that you mention it, didn’t Palin say she was “only” supporting conservatives? But she supported Juan McCain and even said he wants the same things for America as she does.

Well, my FReeper friend, make a list of what McCain stands for and by her OWN words she is for the same things.

For one thing she is for amnesty after the border is sealed.

She tweeted her support the other day for repeal of DADT.

She tweeted her support the other day for repeal of DADT.

Hate her if you must but don't say she did something she did not.

The tweet was frustration with people who destroy the conservative movement because others who plan to vote for our slate of policies and politicians are told their votes aren't wanted. It's the frustration over single issue conservatives who's negativity for others who want to support 'most' of the conservative agenda alienates them.

Accept the support where we agree and fight over the differences after we win.

I don't like the homosexual agenda. I will never favor Gay marriage, DADT or any of the other social policies they push. But I'm not going to say don't vote for our candidates.

Jesus didn't condone sin but preferred the company of sinners to that of the Pharisees. Your faith is to guide you not create some pharisaical political litmus test. It's Islam that wants a theocracy not Christianity. Hold to your beliefs. Let them guide you. But for crying out loud accept support where we agree.

What did she say about DADT? what did Palin say?

Tammy Bruce, who is lesbian, and Palin supporter tweed:
“But this hypocrisy is just truly too much. Enuf already--the more someone complains about the homos the more we should look under their bed,”

Palin retweeted it. This usually means you agree with some or all of what was said in the original tweet.

The retweet mentioned nothing of DADT.

She could have meant a lot of things. Who knows if it was she doing the tweeting. Lots of busy leaders and celebrities have others handling their social media. A 20 something aide may have seen the frustration component and was agreeing with that. Only Gov Palin can elucidate.

But to say this was support of DADT is a Plasticman sized streeeeeetch.

I agree that it is a stretch to say that she supported DADT......because of a retweet......I already knew about what happen, I was trying to get this person to tell me where specifically she said that she supported it

I thought that was a possibility. Assuming they wouldn’t respond, I did, so others would know the story if they hadn’t heard.

Ronald Reagan in a skirt!

Indeed, Sarah Palin the only solid conservative in the field of Republican presidential wannabes yet this (and any other Palin-centered) thread will gets lots of sneering, argumentative posts from alleged hard-core 'conservatives' dismissing Sarah Palin and/or contending that she is really a RINO in some sort of clever disguise. That she supported McCain in his re-election bid last year is the main justification for this absurd accusation. All the while these folks are, metaphorically, looking down their nose at Palin supporters, just as the liberals do. Odd, that, but here we are.

Fortunately, Sarah Palin is made of sterner stuff than her political enemies and will surmount her detractors and even the GOP beltway 'business-as-usual' gang, including the insufferable Karl Rove and the condescending Charles Krauthammer. She can win the Republican nomination because the 'little people' have awoke. They are the Tea Party and they are on Sarah Palin's side or, more to the point, she is - and always has been - on the Tea Party's side.

For the millions of Tea Party voters (and their silent supporters - who also vote) political 'business-as-usual' is over. Although most Democrats and even some 'conservatives' don't get that and think a few clever phrases and put-downs of Sarah Palin and her supporters will make her disappear, they are badly mistaken and will be left behind when the election of 2012 is over and President Palin is inaugurated as our 45th - and first female - president. I can't wait.
