FOX-Megan Kelly Interview: Sheriff Dupnick Supplies Evidence for His Own Impeachment?
FOX ^ | 1/9/11 | Megan Kelly

Posted on 01/09/2011 5:42:21 PM PST by drpix

Here's a remarkable video of Tucson Democrat hatchet man Sheriff Dupnik on Fox with Megan Kelly.

Using his office for partisan political attacks and jeopardizing the assassination prosecution.

Lawyering up, when asked about talk of Loughner's prior death threats.

And yet admitting that they were only "fairly recent" and therefore clearly before the crime and arrest of yesterday.

What are the professional standards of that office?

[Great job Megan!]

“Evidence for His Own Impeachment?, cherry wrote:
his fellow sheriff, a REAL sheriff....Joe Arappio(sp?) has money on his head by illegls and drug runners....wonder what the fat and slobby sheriff Dipstick is doing to fight that....”

Nothing. When AZ came out with their new border policy, Sheriff Libnick was on Fox saying he would not enforce it.

What we know so far about Chief Moose II:

(1) He completely fell down on the job because his department couldn't have been bothered to provide the generic minimum standard of security at this event.

(2) His complete incompetence has been further underscored by the news that he was warned ahead of time and yet did absolutely nothing.

(3) His immediate reaction to this vicious atrocity was to figure out how he could spin it for political advantage - while the body of the innocent 9 year old child whom he failed was still warm.

That is true, we had a crooked sheriff down the road from where I live, had been stealing for years, then someone thought to ask how does a sheriff afford a multi million dollar house. The bastard ate his shotgun and since he was still in office his wife bought him a 10,000 dollar casket and the tax payers had to pay for it. He must have been related to the clapper in az.

We see one party trying to block the attempts of another party to make this a better country.

Blatant partisan hack-titude on full display. No doubt he comes from a family who believed FDR was the ideal president.

Actually, a Sheriff can in fact be “impeached”. It is not easy, in most cases it never happens and it doesn’t happen often. Most bad Sheriffs are simply voted out.

You state constitution discusses the matter. I’m sure it’s addressed in further detail within the laws of your state.... I know that it is in mine.

“9-4. Malfeasance and misfeasance in office.
The presidents of the county courts, the justices of the peace, sheriffs, prosecuting attorneys, clerks of the circuit and of the county courts, and all other county officers shall be subject to indictment for malfeasance, misfeasance, or neglect of official duty and upon conviction thereof, their office shall become vacant.”

Pretty much any elected official can be impeached.

This sheriff is a joke. The killer had contact with Gifford, and his obsession with her started, in 2007. A year before Obama’s election.

Roflol, wrong, in most places the only person that can arrest a sheriff is a game warden.

It used to be that LEOs swore to uphold the Constitution of the United States. Do they still do that? Seems like I read every day about some police officer trampling on the Constitution.

Friend that is not an impeachment. That is a criminal charge.

In Orange County, CA, it took a heck of a long trial and a LOT of evidence to convict our Sheriff. Then for some reason he got to stay out of jail while his appeal was ongoing. Finally, several years later, he’s goin’ into the pokey where he deserves!

Megyn Kelly had him dead to rights. He is a Sheriff - he should be commenting on the Facts and the Facts alone, NOT offering public commentary.

There are always checks and balances. Even though a sheriff is elected, he is still bound by county funding...great pressure can be put upon a sheriff through his salary which can be adjusted by county commissioners on his performance on the job which is also prescribed in state law that must be adhered to. The county commissioners can certainly sue for impeachment should the Sheriff not be adhering to state and constitutional law.
