"Come August, when his 500 deputies become responsible for busting illegals, the sheriff's actions will speak louder than any words: His men will look the other way.
"'We are not immigration officials,' Dupnick vowed Thursday. 'We fight crime. The state put us in this position.'"

This guy is a “boss hog” loose cannon. What an idiot.
For that reason alone he should resign or be removed by those who value the rule of law and hold accountable those who have the responsibility to enforce them without presumption or prejudice.
He has shown himself to be nothing less than a total unprofessional disgrace from the very beginning....by using his position of authority he has only exposed himself as nothing more than a political hack.
Everything in the media has turned into a reality show....for CNN and BSNBC....I guess that makes this guy the new Snooki.

How can a sheriff refuse to enforce a State law? Is he a law unto himself? The State, meaning the people of the State, passes a law, and he simply refuses to enforce it. And they wonder why citizens get angry? And then they ascribe all kinds of violence to us when we do get angry. Our vanilla news media and government officials are a joke.

I saw part of Megyn’s interview. She was terrific. But Dupnik appears mentally confused if he believes what he mutters or corrupt if he is following orders to promote this nonsense.

Dupnik apparently forgot he wasn’t talking to the local liberal Tucson news media. His scripted little PC speech failed him in front of someone who is capable of asking something other than a soft-ball question. He actually seemed shocked that he would be treated so.

Perhaps. I don’t know all of the legal avenues that might be explored. But I believe that he needs to go, however that can be accomplished.
