It more and more seems that Loughner acted against Giffords for personal reasons and politics were not the driver.

Based on his behavior since Saturday, it seems reasonable to assume that he did this for attention and status. The whole world is talking about this guy and he loves it.

I'm in total agreement with you. I have to say though, i think there's an eco-freak component to this that might be getting overlooked. I've been wrong before but....
