A state game warden, deputy warden, sheriff, deputy sheriff, constable, police officer or state police may kill by shooting with firearms, dogs, whether licensed or unlicensed, when in such close pursuit as to endanger the life of a deer or moose or found in the act of wounding, maiming or killing deer or moose.

Clear as day. Like I said, just admit you were wrong (or that your GWs are lawbreakers) and stop digging.

Sorry, the fact is that dogs here loose get shot, and thats a fact. And the discretion to do so is in the game officers. And what is the evidence? A dog that is running and tracking prey. Or a group of them trackinng prey.

SO before you all get your shorts in a twist, bring your dog up here and turn him loose, IF you are so sure that YOU are right. I know how it is and how it works. I have seen several dogs belonging to neighbors shot under exactly those circumstances.And they all whined just like several of you on this thread are whining. What a laugh.
