President Obama and first lady Michelle Obama will be in Tucson Wednesday to attend the "Together We Thrive: Tucson and America" event at the McKale Memorial Center on the University of Arizona campus. The event is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. MST (8 p.m. EST) with doors opening at 4 p.m. MST (6 p.m. EST).
According to a university news release, organizers are expecting thousands of people to attend. If the 14,000-seat arena reaches capacity, overflow seating will be available at the university's football stadium. Video of the memorial will be shown on the scoreboard's big screen.

I kept seeing comments all over the net today about the “rally” tonight. Being clueless, I assumed the dimwits had the poor taste to have some dim rally at the same time as the Memorial. It did not occur to me that their rally IS the Memorial. I am simply horrified.
Imagine a thousand FBI agents even tho the murderer is already in captivity.
But no border guards despite the terrible danger to the Arizona citizens.
Border guards for Pakistan but not for America.
Are we to believe this man is an American?
That t-shirt is too horrible for words. This goes even beyond what I would have expected of these low-lifes.

I was going to watch it, but after seeing Dupnik and Holder glad-handing people in the crowd I realize it is a democrat love-fest. I do not think I can stomach seeing that empty-headed lummox Janet Napolitano “uuhhhh” her way through some vapid speech.
I will turn the sound off and flip it on only if FReepers here suggest there is something worth hearing.
It’s so shallow and inappropriate. I’ve seen Giffords use that same tactic a bunch of times here, during various dedications (like a new health clinic, all the while she was going against the wishes of the vast majority of her constituents, revisionist history aside).
It’s turning into a big political photo op party.

There was a memorial service at Ft. Hood. O brought along a cheering squad of female groupies who proceeded to cheer when he approached the podium.
There was some minor criticism from the msm, but they really don’t give a damn about our military.
Together we Thrive? -— The President’s going to strie a tone of unity? -— as per the news on WMAL.
How about some prayers for the dead and wounded .... and some justice!
