Why do the people speaking at the podium have the small window on my screen and Barry and the Wookie have the larger portion of the screen?

Photo-op. Your King MUST have 1st billing at ALL times.

God save us.

Like Hyenas cheering a kill.

This is unspeakable.

I have never given the Daily Kos credit, but I will say that a few of their posters are as disgusted by the cheering as we FReepers.............. College kids——letting off steam—— (1+ / 0-)

they’ve been through a lot these last few days.

political campaign speech....which I suppose it is in its unique way. BTW: Just what have the college students been through the last few days?
I hope Obama is appropriately somber, this is not a fiesta.

I live in Arizona, a red state that somehow elected Janet Napolitburo as Governor - TWICE.

And Tucson is BLUE to the bone.

The only real mention of the victims in 40 minutes was the only Republican up there...Gov. Brewer.

FYI the massacre of Yaqui Indians mentioned in the prayer was committed by the Mexican government, in Mexico.

FOX said there would not be a traditional pastor or minister at this memorial. Very odd indeed.

Yes, considering that at least two of the deceased victims were Catholic. I'm reasonably sure that some of the others were Christian as well.

Is it just me or is the behaviour exibit at this “memorial Service” highly inappropriate.

Seems like only Jan and Eric understand the true meaning of Memorial Service.

This is a political event to paint Zero and his fan club as mainstream

I simply cannot take this anymore. I had to walk into the office and logon to FR. The kids were great. Gov Brewer was good. The feds on display now just make me want to hurl.

This is the most crazy surreal “memorial service” I’ve ever seen.

Thank you, Jan Brewer, for at least acknowledging ALL of the victims.

*sigh*

Since when is Tucson a small college town? It’s metro population is over one million. It’s the 32nd largest city in the country.

Why did janet nap get more applause then Governor Brewer?

Why has nothing been mentioned about the 14 people found with their heads chopped off in Acapulco last week?

I have to say for the life of me, I don’t understand the tone of this event. I don’t believe the speeches have been inapropriate, but the college town cheering for the speakers is so out of place. Polite applause should be the decorum, people died just days ago.

I can only hope that a lot of mainstream Americans are taking a good look at this farce.

I would hope that the families of the dead walk out.
