I bought a Glock 17 when they first came out, just because all the lefties were screaming about “plastic guns”. I still have it, but I really prefer the good ol’ 1911 to pretty much everything else. SIGS and Walthers are fine, too, but the 1911 is 100 years old and hasn’t been topped yet.

Nothing does it for me like good ol' .45 slab-sides. The way it carries, handles, recoils, reloads, field strips, everything. If God had a handgun, it would be a 1911.
