Arnold Schwarzenegger claims being Governor of California cost him $200 million

It might have come with a sweet California mansion, but being Governor cost Arnold Schwarzenegger $200 million, he claimed earlier this week.

The former governator told a newspaper in his native Austria that his time in office, including expenses and lost revenue from movies and endorsements, resulted in a hefty pay decrease, Reuters reported.

... The loss of money wasn't even the worst part of it, he added.

"What was much worse was the damage my time as governor did to the family. There is a lot there that needs to be repaired," he said.

... While he may have missed the silver screen during his time in Sacramento, he's not likely to return to movies, a source told Entertainment Weekly.

"I had a lovely talk with him about a month ago, and my guess is he will continue in government work," director Ivan Reitman told the magazine. "He's joked around about coming back to acting, but I think really he would like to do something serious."

Whether or not that will be another foray into politics is unknown. In a December interview with the Los Angeles Times he said that he would consider joining the Obama administration, and was especially interested in working on energy policy.

No, Arnie. The worst part is the damage you did to the State and the Republican party, along with pushing the global warming hoax, squandering billions of taxpayer money, and leaving massive debt in your wake. Please retire from "public service." You are an incompetent bufoon.

Maybe he could sue the state for the unconstitutional taking.

... or, one could wonder what sorts of incentives might be buried in the game that could make the job possibly worth $200 million (or more) to anybody.

Yo "Conan," you lost $200 million. How much did the overtaxed people of Aquilonia lose during your reign?

And what happens when Moonbeam asks Congress for a bailout?

Nobody forced this RINO to run for governor. I suppose he figured there wouldn’t be any time commitment involved. On top of that, his prima donna wife refused to leave SoCal, which forced him to be away from his family when he was up here in NoCal. So the Global Warming believer flew between the two incessantly. The ole, “do what I say, not what I do.” I guess greenhouse gas reduction is for the little people. I’m proud to say I never voted for the fool.

So, $200,000,000, in this case, is the price of a footnote-ship in history.

In the real world, when daddy takes a job in a new city, the family usually moves there with him. It speaks volumes that they were unwilling to do that.

“I’ll be baaaaaaaaaaack’

is now; ‘I’ll be back-stabbing’.

I don’t recall anyone forcing him to run for the office.

It SHOULD, Arnold!

It's called Public SERVICE. You LEAVE your business to SERVE for a term or two and LOSE money because of it.

It's a strange idea the founders had that would keep most of our politicians honest and on a regular rotation.
