ANYONE that bought into globull warming the way that newt did... has proved beyond a shadow of doubt that his intelligence is purely propaganda... and he was a failure as speaker... allowed clinton to destroy him... allowed a book deal to cause his resignation in disgrace as speaker.

name calling...nice.....of course we get to judge him, I just don’t think it is right to assume you have walked a mile or two in his shoes re: the cancer/divorce situation. That was my point, the fact that you chose to ignore it and be a smart ass was yours.

Newt (like most old-guard Republicans) has not shown any ability to handle the Alinsky tactics used by the left; Palin has.

Bingo. Newt thinks he must kowtow in order to remain in the NYC/DC cocktail party circuit.

Newt managed to get a balanced budget and reform welfare....is that what you mean by Clinton destroying him? I would not characterize that as a failure. You stand by the liberal media railroading him out of the speakership because of a book deal similar to the one CLinton got? Strange......

Watching the “standard” Republicans pile on Palin, helping the media and Left to hang her out to dry and twist in the wind has absolutely infuriated me! I have been a GOP supporter and contributor for more than 30 years. But, after having us grassroots conservatives rise up and do the job the GOP should have been doing (providing vocal and principled opposition to the Marxists in power) thus enabling the GOP to come back into power, I’m shocked as to how quickly the establishment GOP has reverted back to form. Once again, they’re willing lackeys for the Left and media elites. I never thought that I’d say this, but it seems time for principled, true conservatives to jettison the Democrat-lite GOP and aggressively pursue a party that more closely aligns with the Founders’ view of America. I know (and preached) the arguments about 3rd parties and the futility of supporting them. But, does anyone really think that the GOP “compassionate conservative” of the day (Romney? Newt? Pawlenty?) has any chance in hell of beating Soetero? By Nov 2012, the GOP will be so emasculated that the “average voter” won’t be able to differentiate the gelded Republican from the Democrat.
No, watching the establishment GOP - one after another (even our hero Cheney) - come out and either provide no strong support for or frankly pile on criticism of Palin at a time when the Left has manufactured its most vile, vicious and mendacious assault (coming out in force and accusing her of being an accessory to murder) has convinced me that the GOP is no longer worthy of my support, time and resources. (I realize I’m probably late to this party).

I don’t think so Newt ... somebody has to have the intestinal fortitude to walk point, and as far as I can tell Sarah Palin is a true American conservative who has made no missteps.

Newt: you’ve got to stand for something, or you’ll fall for anything.

Sarah - and only Sarah - is fighting. You go girl!

Newt should slow down and be careful who he sleeps with.

Still couch-sitting with libs, I see.

Worthless RINO. Useless since 1995.

Look, you are the one that decide to respond about how noble I am. And I already have formed an opinion of you based off your responses. But, I don't think I know enough about you to say “I know you.”

You assume I am being sanctimonious, I simply asked you if you would judge him. My position is that Palin loses to Newt in a debate, that I am not willing to judge Newt's personal indiscretions and that I think anyone who wins the presidency is crazy not to appoint him to a cabinet position. And yes, I RESPECT traditional marriage and faithfulness but I do realize I am infallible and prone to weakness and yes, I am divorced. Would you describe my response as sanctimonious?

Anyone that seriously supports newt cannot be a conservative. It was newt that first stated that, “THE ERA OF REAGAN IS OVER... WE MUST GET BEYOND THAT MINDSET”. He said it live on Rush's show... Limbaugh slammed him over it and newt spent 10 minutes lying and obfuscating about what he really meant... then michael steele started using newt's statement and added that, “we must move in the direction of the electorate... we must become more progressive and our party must become more diverse”. You see... we have little patience left for the left... and newt is part of the left... he is an enemy agent within. You promote him here so you will have to deal with the truth about him.

I guess Newt has been too busy posing with Plastic Face and supporting Dede to notice Palin has her finger on the conservative pulse not him.

newt had an entire House that ran on that pledge... he also failed on many parts of the contract. clinton did destroy him... over his well known and documented adultery... then he entered into a book deal with such arrogance and corruption that he was forced to resign in disgrace... and he will never be able to hold elected office again... not even in his home town. He is a disgrace as a republican... as a conservative... and as a man.

I support Newt as an idea guy. I didn’t say he had my vote for President. I had no idea “WE” had little patience for discourse. I don’t care who has the idea, if it is a good one and many of Newt’s are I say we get the ball moving and adopt it. I have no issues with the truth but I don’t feel the need to “DEAL” with it. So, tell me again what you disagree with in my first posting? Palin vs Newt debate, cabinet position, not willing to judge his personal issues with cancer/divorce?
