TV Ad Hits GOP Freshmen for Voting to Repeal Health Care
Politics Daily ^ | 1/19/11 | Matt Lewis

Well, that didn't take long. Almost immediately after the House voted to repeal Obama's health care law, a liberal-leaning nonprofit called the Public Campaign Action Fund announced it would air TV ads targeting a group of potentially vulnerable freshmen Republicans.

The ads will air in the districts of Jim Renacci (R-Ohio), Jon Runyan (R-N.J.) and Tim Walberg (R-Mich.).

"These three members of Congress sided with the insurance companies and their donors, and against their constituents yesterday," said David Donnelly, national campaigns director for Public Campaign Action Fund. "They were elected to bring change to Washington, but yesterday's vote shows that wealthy special interests like the insurance companies still have all the power in Washington, D.C."

According to a spokesman, the ads are scheduled to run on cable in all three districts for one week starting Thursday morning. But the group is not yet releasing the size of the ad buys.

You can watch all the ads here.

Against their constituents?

Hell, they were elected because the voters WANT repeal.

Ohio (Broke), New Jersey (Hoping Christie can save them from the bad ‘RAT decisions), Michigan (Mecca II). I wonder who chose where they were going to pimp their propaganda. Not very bright.

Insurance companies were in on this. They were to receive a nice infusion of cash paying young people who don’t consume a lot of services.

Pardon, sir? The lobbyists were all for Obamacare.

That was my immediate thought, too. I guess there’s no “truth in advertising” for these groups, huh?

We need these freshmen to know that having these leftists go after them is like a skull and cross-bones on their helmet. A mark of honor. The more the demons howl against them, the better they’re doing.

That’s the way to neuter the orgy of DC’s corrupt media and politicians.

Please name one insurance company that does not love this scam. They think it is just great.

They need to runs some of their own adds. Point out the liberals who voted to keep Obama care. But also point out the actions of this group.

Say What? Democrat Compares Republicans to Nazis

ABC News Jonathan Karl reports: The newfound civility didn’t last long. Political rhetoric in Congress doesn’t get much nastier than the words of one House Democrat during the debate on repealing the health care law.

In an extraordinary outburst on the House floor, Rep. Steve Cohen (D-TN) invoked the Holocaust to attack Republicans on health care and compared rhetoric on the issue to the work of infamous Nazi propagandist Joseph Goebbels.

“They say it’s a government takeover of health care, a big lie just like Goebbels,” Cohen said. “You say it enough, you repeat the lie, you repeat the lie, and eventually, people believe it. Like blood libel. That’s the same kind of thing. And Congressman Cohen didn’t stop there.

“The Germans said enough about the Jews and people believed it—believed it and you have the Holocaust. We heard on this floor, government takeover of health care. Politifact said the biggest lie of 2010 was a government takeover of health care because there is no government takeover,” Cohen said.
Cohen made his comments late last night, but they have attracted no attention because his speech was made to a virtually empty House chamber with no reporters around to watch.

I don’t think they have anything to worry about. Heck, even the House RINOs voted to repeal Obamacare and these are guys who follow which way the political wind is blowing. That is not in the Democrats’ and MSM’s direction.
