Obama knows that his birth certificate can be released under a subpoena, at any time. A congressional subpoena by the new House majority could have done it on January 3rd. And thus far, the Republicans are afraid to touch it.

While I agree with your assertions, I do not see there being a downside for Republicans asking to provide the document. They can just simply state that they want to “clear up any confusion” regarding the issue, so “we can all move on and work together in a bi-partisan manner” or some other similarly inane blathering nonsense. At this point, the majority of the American public now question his eligibility to hold the presidency; the psychotic liberals (redundant, I know) couldn’t care less if he is eligible or not, as they would support Mao, Stalin, or anyone else pushing centralized state governance.

I agree with you. Additionally, any prosecuting attorney in the nation could launch a grand jury investigation into whether any election fraud was committed in getting on the ballot in their state. Grand juries have subpoena power, no issues of legal standing under Article III of the Constitution to get in the way of discovery, and grand juries go on legal “fishing expeditions” all the time. A grand jury will subpoena witnesses and records and if everything is on the up and up, they move on to other issues, “no harm, no foul.” However, if they uncover the possiblility of malfeasance, then the prosecuting attorney can seek indictments.
In the four years since February 10, 2007, when Barack Obama announced that he was running for president, I’m surprised that there hasn’t been a grand jury investigation.
Either a congressional committee investigation of the natural born citizen requirement or a grand jury investigation in any state looking into whether election fraud was committed in getting on that state’s ballot would be fine with me.
