I think too many people have a pop-culture image of this where they think it is like Kreskin where it is on or off.. it is simply suggestion like marketing. The only way one can be ‘turned off’ would be to educate one to be aware of the uses- but even then, they are susceptible at that point (even to a higher degree) to those who claim they ‘reveal’ answers that the ‘sheep’ believe.

Yes, while some of the techniques vary between group and individual application, they are the same principles.
