House Majority Leader Eric Cantor made it clear that it's the new House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan, not Minnesota Rep. Michelle Bachmann, who is speaking for the GOP. That's fine. Bachmann spoke for the people, and if we've learned anything about the GOP in the first three weeks of the new session, it's that there is one hell of a big difference between the two.

Cantor's knee jerk shows him to be just as out of touch as any other elite, despite what he pretends. Disappointing that he felt the need to choose sides at all, as though TEA party members and the GOP are on opposite sides of the aisle. He obviously didn't even listen to the TEA response, or he would have had it spelled out for him that Ryan spoke for the GOP while Bachmann spoke for the TEA party.
As for comparing the speeches, I preferred Bachman's energy, enthusiasm and love of country to Ryan's dry lecture. For the record, I watched his response first. It was embarrassing. I felt like I was being lectured on how to get along with others by an overzealous first grade teacher. It was like listening to Mr Rogers, without the fire and passion. THAT is what Cantor just identified himself with: two reasons why the American people are angry at the GOP.

"Ryan deserves our respect."Yes he does. Cantor's statement deserves contempt. We have to make sure not to get the two men mixed up.

"Actually, we know why because CNN is attempting to divide republicans any way they can."Yes they are, and they found the perfect dupe with Cantor.
