WASHINGTON (AFP) – The world's Muslim population will grow twice as fast as non-Muslims over the next 20 years according to a new study, which predicted that Muslims within a generation will make up more than a quarter of the global population.
Using fertility, mortality and migration rates, researchers at the Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life project a 1.5-percent annual population growth rate for the world's Muslims over the next two decades, and just 0.7 percent growth each year for non-Muslims. The study, called "The Future of the Global Muslim Population," projects that in 2030 Muslims will make up 26.4 percent of the world?s population, which is expected to total around 8.3 billion people by then. That marks a three-percentage-point rise from the 23.4-percent share held by Muslims of the globe's estimated 6.9 billion people today, the study says. More than six in 10 followers of Islam will live in the Asia-Pacific region in 2030, and nuclear Pakistan, which has seen a rise in radical Islam in recent months, will overtake Indonesia as the world's most populous Muslim nation. In Africa, the Muslim population of the sub-Saharan country of Nigeria will be greater than that of Egypt in 20 years, the study projects. In Europe, Pew predicts the Muslim population will grow by nearly a third in 20 years, from 44.1 million people, or six percent of the region's inhabitants in 2010, to 58.2 million or eight percent of the projected total population by 2030.

If Christian population were growing like that were would be national concern.
In time the Muslims in Europe will be a majority and will vote themselves into full political power.

They have many babies, and westerners have fewer and fewer.
I am currently reading “America Alone” by Mark Steyn. He saw this trend a very long time ago, and wrote this book about this very problem in 2006. It is a great read. I recommend that everybody read it.
On the other hand, to an alarming extent American women's sexual/family relations have not been characterized by, as you say, "freedom, responsibility and growth." It's a pervasive pattern of youthful junk-sex, debased personal relations with morally puny, terminally-immature, non-provident males, epidemic fertility-destroying STD's, the expected mangled bloody baby or two in the teen and 20's years, non-marriage, non-family-formation, leading to a stunted, well-below-replacement fertility rate by perimenopause.
Also hardly a pattern to emulate.
Worse than the simple infertility is the out-of-wedlock childbearing. Some 45 years ago Daniel Patrick Moynihan noted the "pathology of the Negro family" in which out-of-wedlock childbearing was, among Black people, a shocking one out OF five. Now it's, FOR WHITES, 1:5, FOR HISPANICS 2:5, FOR BLACKS 2:3.
A society that spends 38 years killing 50 million babies and lacks the generosity, vision and vigor to form families, real families, has only one thing to say:

When politically correct, tolerant, and culturally diverse societies agree to Muslim demands for their religious privileges, some of the other components tend to creep in as well.
Here’s how it works:
As long as the Muslim population remains around or under 2% in any given country, they will be for the most part be regarded as a peace-loving minority, and not as a threat to other citizens. This is the case in:

Australia — Muslim 1.5%

China — Muslim 1.8%
Italy — Muslim 1.5%
Norway — Muslim 1.8%
At 2% to 5%, they begin to proselytize from other ethnic minorities and disaffected groups, often with major recruiting from the jails and among street gangs. This is happening in:

Thailand — Muslim 4.6%
From 5% on, they exercise an inordinate influence in proportion to their percentage of the population. For example, they will push for the introduction of halal (clean by Islamic standards) food, thereby securing food preparation jobs for Muslims. They will increase pressure on supermarket chains to feature halal on their shelves — along with threats for failure to comply. This is occurring in:

At this point, they will work to get the ruling government to allow them to rule themselves (within their ghettos) under Sharia, the Islamic Law. The ultimate goal of Islamists is to establish Sharia law over the entire world.
When Muslims approach 10% of the population, they tend to increase lawlessness as a means of complaint about their conditions. In Paris , we are already seeing car-burnings. Any non-Muslim action offends Islam and results in uprisings and threats, such as in Amsterdam, with opposition to Mohammed cartoons and films about Islam. Such tensions are seen daily, particularly in Muslim sections in:

After reaching 20%, nations can expect hair-trigger rioting, jihad militia formations, sporadic killings, and the burnings of Christian churches and Jewish synagogues, such as in:

At 40%, nations experience widespread massacres, chronic terror attacks, and ongoing militia warfare, such as in:

Unfortunately, peace is never achieved, as in these 100% states the most radical Muslims intimidate and spew hatred, and satisfy their blood lust by killing less radical Muslims, for a variety of reasons.
It is important to understand that in some countries, with well under 100% Muslim populations, such as France, the minority Muslim populations live in ghettos, within which they are 100% Muslim, and within which they live by Sharia Law. The national police do not even enter these ghettos. There are no national courts, nor schools, nor non-Muslim religious facilities. In such situations, Muslims do not integrate into the community at large. The children attend madrasses. They learn only the Koran. To even associate with an infidel is a crime punishable with death. Therefore, in some areas of certain nations, Muslim Imams and extremists exercise more power than the national average would indicate.
Today’s 1.5 billion Muslims make up 22% of the world’s population. But their birth rates dwarf the birth rates of Christians, Hindus, Buddhists, Jews, and all other believers. Muslims will exceed 50% of the world’s population by the end of this century.

But, ultimately it’s the parent’s job to instill these values. I personally blame Dr. Spock for the collapse of Western society. It started with not harming little Johnnie’s precious self-esteem, and removing punishment and only giving positive feedback. Then we lowered standards and reserved judgement.
If there is nothing is wrong - then nothing is right.
We then rewarded irresponsibility. More children, more welfare. People learned that working hard was simply not worth the effort - they could get 80% of what a working-stiff made by sitting on their butt. Seriously, why work 40+ hrs a week for $500, if you get free food and a decent place to live; and $320 to do nothing?
Unemployed and need a heart transplant? No problem. Retired and on limited income - you will be bankrupted and lose everything you have earned, including your home. I’ve seen it.
Compound this with Hollywood and the media who talk about the instant gratification of drugs, sex, reckless behavior and who label those who work hard to excel as ‘nerds’ and ‘sell-outs’. A black child who excels is punished by his peers - and this culture is celebrated.
We are doomed, and we have done it to ourselves. Mis-guided compassion has killed us all.
It’s the first time in the history of the world that the weaker, stupider, more barbaric civilization has been voluntarily allowed to destroy the existing civilization. Say what you will about Alexander, the Mongols, or the Turks, they won by destroying their enemies in battle. These guys could be eradicated overnight if we had the will to do it. Since we don’t, they weasel their way in until we can’t stop them.
They’ll keep their swords sheathed in the West until they gain effective political control (and they’ll get that with far less than 51% of the population given our poor rates of turnout). Once they gain control, they’ll mandate Sharia and far worse. There needs to be an absolute moratorium on all muslim immigration immediately, but it won’t happen. The dhimmis will still be spouting platitudes about the “religion of peace” as they’re being led to the gulags and their women are being stoned in Yankee Stadium.
They know they can overtake countries by becomoing the majority.

I was in Walmart last year up north in a place called Quincy MA.
A muslim woman had 6 kids, used WIC and this credit card welfare gives them was being used as well.
I looked at the envelope and saw her address, I then asked a friend I was with where that address was as she is fro that place.

I have 3 kids and have brought them up with core conservative principles, have told them the dangers of the left etc. My oldest is not even out of middle school.
There’s a LEGAL reason. Islam doesn’t have family court like the Western world where the wife can capriciously divorce her husband due to being “unfulfilled.”
Then extort his wallet legally via “child” support payments and spousal support. As the final coupe de grace, she gets the children almost all the time and trashes dad, denies visitation, etc.
In Islam, a man can divorce his wife, even KILL his wife, take the children, etc. Women have zero rights.
SO logically speaking, WHY would a WESTERN man want to REPRODUCE like crazy when he KNOWS his wife could just drop him on a dime, take his wallet and kids away permanently?
