Under what statute?
There has never been shotgun shell regulation. You don't even need a firearms purchaser ID to buy them.
The laws in NJ really suck but lets not invent laws that don't exist. I always hear uninformed people mention that Hollow points are illegal in NJ and it's simply not true. Hollow points are illegal to use illegally but for hunting, range and at home they are completely legal.
I don’t know what statute. I’m going back over thirty years ago. I do know that people at a gun club in the Pine barrens talked about a man who was arrested because he had shot shells in his trunk. They lived there and I had no reason to doubt them. I still don’t.
And you are entirely correct about Jersey gun laws. They do suck. Don’t you forget the occasional excesses of law enforcement people in Jersey or any place else.
