The FCC isn't Congress and this isn't a law; it's "administrative law," "rulemaking," "whatever-we-want-to-call-it," ...
No problemo! /s
Lol ;)
how many more months of this POS???
I have no idea if he is.
Free enterprise is now just enterprise.
This is to prevent Comcast from making any changes in the news operations that would be in a direction undesirable to the Regime. Barry Dunham has obviously learned some lessons from Hugo Chavez.
Just one more reason to avoid the mainstream state-run media.
That is the truth!!!
Done. Notice I had posted to my FB they still had 52 left to go. Nice to see they are down to 23.
We're now in the time of the Crony Capitalists:
When you see that trading is done, not by consent, but by compulsion--when you see that in order to produce, you need to obtain permission from men who produce nothing--when you see that money is flowing to those who deal, not in goods, but in favors--when you see that men get richer by graft and by pull than by work, and your laws don't protect you against them, but protect them against you--when you see corruption being rewarded and honesty becoming a self-sacrifice--you may know that your society is doomed. Money is so noble a medium that is does not compete with guns and it does not make terms with brutality. It will not permit a country to survive as half-property, half-loot.Atlas Shrugs, Ayn Rand 1957

I don’t know about legal but it certainly should not be happening . I would imagine Cliburn’s daughter may have a hand in it he is one of the ones who want the Internet kill switch.
They needed to be told to bend over for Soros? That’s a shocker!
FREEDOM OF THE PRESS IS BEING ABRIDGED. THE EXECUTIVE BRANCH IS SUBVERTING THE U.S. CONSTITUTION.
cool!
Under the terms of the FCC order approving Comcasts takeover of NBCU, at least half of NBCs 10 O&Os have to find a nonprofit news center with which to work within the next year.
Congress shall make no law... abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press...
It seems to me that the media should be free to do this, or not do this, of their own accord. The government cannot force the media to operate with a preferred outlet or lose their business.
-PJ Isnt that the neatest thing, congress didnt..
I think it could be argued that, since the FCC only holds its regulatory powers based on the law that establishes it as an agency, the Congress has passed a law that's, albeit indirectly, abridging freedom of the press.
As the march to National Socialism (NAZI-ism) continues...
Is there a FR thread on this?
I don’t know but that would be a good idea.
It already exists, and FR can be partnered NOW. So, if we get partnered with CNN or NPR, we get forced conservative input into their news. When do we start?
