Failing to win elections is a bigger impediment towards saving the country. Alan Keyes is an expert at that.

You say she cut spending as Governor of Alaska. Fair enough. Was the state budget smaller after her two years in office, or larger?

Now, back to my first question: What programs or agencies does she advocate cutting from the federal behemoth?

No, pointing out your underlying motives to those who might not be familiar with your history.

A perfectly fair thing to do on FR.

Except your premise is false, and therefore unfair.

I'm not going to let the dude continue to hijack a decent thread.

The state budget increased, largely because the increase in the price of oil increased revenues.

And since so much of Alaska's economy is based upon oil, and so much of the state is owned by the federal government, the state is the source of infrastructure revenues for many localities - and that spending is cyclical, tied to the price of oil.

So, yes, spending did increase overall under Palin - but that is a reflection of the fact that the tax revenues were there for cyclical infrastructure spending.

And she cut half a billion in spending with use of the line-item veto.

So she did cut wasteful spending, and that's the key point.

So she has a history of upholding her campaign promises, so when she talks in generalities about cutting federal spending, I believe we will see specific proposals when and if she actually runs - and delivery upon promises if she wins.

But we don't know that about Keyes, do we, since he never has come even close to winning.

Or we are really weak. After observing republican politicians for the past 20 years, I’d say we’ve been taught to apologize, resign or compromise. Gov. Palin has chosen a different path. Only her faith in God can keep her from becoming the typical republican.

You're the ones fixated on Alan Keyes, not me.

I just asked a simple question which tests the substance of Governor Palin's rhetoric. And the response is a pretty good indicator that she hasn't given her supporters much, if anything, to work with.

Again, our country is on the road to ruin, as she said. Does she know how we got here? Does she know where the right road is? Does she have any credible plan to get there? Not that I've seen. Shoot, her supporters can't even point me to a single clue that she might get it.

You are a big fat liar, dude. You used to be honest enough to admit your underlying agenda. I see you can’t even live up to that standard any longer.

Once again, her history as governor. You know, the history she has from actually WINNING an election.

Something your guy wouldn't know about.

But do tell us what government spending Alan Keyes has actually cut. Even better, please tell us what elections Alan Keyes has actually won.

Ah c'mon! Keyes has, and no doubt will again, walked up and down sidewalks pushing a baby carriage which held a baby doll splattered in fake blood.
Keyes' deplorable publicity antics actions have saved countless babies from being aborted. Roe v. Wade was overturned because of Keyes. Abortion is outlawed in all fifty states, again because of Alan Keyes and the utter social outcasts those that expand his bank account support him and the *juggernaut*, AIP.

Unanswered, as of yet, question: If Alan Keyes' lesbian daughter sincerely wished to join the American Independent Party would she be permitted to do so?

Well, other than your silly Alan Keyes strawman I’ll give you credit. At least you tried to paint a positive picture of your gal as a budget cutter as Governor.

Does Sarah Palin want the U.S. Department of Education gone?

your guy

Can you point to a single post, on FR or anywhere else, where I've advocated for any candidate for president in 2012?

If not, your strawman attacks are just silly.

I did support Keyes in 2000 and 2008, yes.

Did you support McCain? Does that make you still a McCain guy?
