I have always heard and (I have yet to look it up), but from experience found that Muslims “LIE” and do not think it is bad but more a Duty to get what they want or need.

If there are any Muslim Freepers out there that can point me to the exact passages in the Koran that actually spell this standard”S practice” out ....
{ I also know that ya get extra points for Lying to an Infidel. (again from experience, not the Koran)}

Truth is non-existent as are Legal Contracts as would be any Truce or Capitulation Speech.

TT

There may be other MO's but taquiya is familiar.

Taqiyya (taquiya) is a practice in Shia Islam whereby adherents may conceal their faith when they feel that they are under threat, persecution, or compulsion.(Wikipedia)

So when Obama says he is a true Christian; we have only to think of 'taqiyya (taqiya) and all other statements, by Muslims where the MO's and statements of Muslim Faith are called into play (including things like. . .what is the real intent behind NYC 9/11 Mosque et al and ANYthing that CAIR offers in it's defense, as the political is NOT separate from Islam).

So it is, Muslims can readily lie about the truth - of just about anything in their world - and with Allah's blessing.
