Why inane?
It’s a valid question.
The whole family is being admonished (by someone they don’t know
or care about) to keep their noses clean, except for Mrs. Palin.
Why is she exempt?
The operative phrase is ...BOTH PARTIES...
Rove and Crankhammar must be "WATCHED"...
McCLame is no friend of Sarah Palin..
I don't believe 2012 is Palins year... republican "enemies" must be fleshed out first..
The TpCaucus "spreading widely" is much more important..
Especially in purple areas.. like Detroit and Chicago.. and dare I say it.... "New York City"..
Some may disagree (and already have done so) but I'm with you. There is no value in making fun of Michelle Obama's appearance. Nor is it appropriate to criticize her to the extent that she is non-political. When she crosses the line into politics, that changes. When she says that, "for the first time in my adult lifetime, I'm really proud of my country," it's entirely appropriate and perhaps even necessary to criticize her beliefs and her patriotism. When she forms an alliance with a specific company in a campaign to fight childhood obesity, instead of leading in a more general and evenhanded way (even if that is coordinated so that WalMart "independently" announces their support and their efforts minutes after her speech), it is appropriate to question her judgment and possibly her integrity. (Did the Obamas get a generous donation from WalMart in return for that free advertising?)
As for the daughters, despite the disparity in treatment, where the only harsh comments about them involve their weight and come from their mother, they should be off limits to all decent people. The same is true for the Palin children, and we should behave decently despite the fact that liberals do not come anywhere near to decency.
BS. The name-calling from the right is NOTHING like the vitriol being leveled against Sarah and her family...I have NEVER seen the right use the 'c' word in reference to a woman on the left; ANY woman. Death-threats are coming from the left, not the right. The comparison is absurd.
No, what’s absurd is your hyperbole. The lack of civility on both sides is absurd. And it will continue to spiral out of control.
Please point out the ‘hyperbole’...no exaggerations here at all. I have seen the ‘Sarah Palin is a c***’ t-shirts here in New England...where are your examples of the other women being referred to in such a vile manner?
You’re going off on a tangent, focusing on one comment of your own. You and I agree that there’s a serious lack of civility— and that’s an understatement. Let’s just leave it at that.
