“But I am not as convinced as you that she is electable nationally.”

*******************************

Well, we’re going to find out, aren’t we? That is what elections are all about. No one was convinced Reagan could win a national election until he actually won one. His poll numbers in the run-up to the 1980 election were in the crapper. I well remember telling my friends that he could win. I had heard him many times in person and he was great. No, they told me. He might be able to win in California, a reliably Republican state at the time, but not nationally... Too old, too conservative, too dumb, too dangerous. On November 4, 1980, they got a little education. I already knew he could win nationally. The doubters had to be convinced. A 44 state landslide did the trick.

Whether she runs or not, the GOP nomination is going through Sarah Palin and her millions of supporters. Make no mistake about that and the GOP-E and all other candidates had better wise-up to this fact.

Only Sarah Palin is capable of raising the $Billion Dollars that obama raised in ‘08, so if she doesn’t run, the GOP had better start thinking about *that* money gap. Sarah Palin will be sorely needed in election 2012. No doubt about it.

If she’s not the nominee, then the nominee will have to be one we like, one that she can endorse, so that we can all be supportive, and that means s/he will have to be rock solid conservative.

[Also, never a weenie, back-stabbing Sarah Palin basher, IMHO of course].

Remember it well. . . Reagan's elections were incredible experiences.

. . . but the Bush name showing up along side a strong conservative electable candidate brings back memories of Daddy Bush worming his way on to that of Reagan's. We paid for it. Old weak pro-death sell out "H" eventually gave us Clinton.

We do not need another Bush worming his way on to an already winning ticket. Personally, at the moment I'm for DeMint/Palin.

I believe we can win with out selling out to the Bush family or any RINO.
