I saw the interview: It was a joke by Sarah, kind of a soft slap at Rick, nothing more to it
Out of context. I heard the interview on SAT radio on the way to work this morning. I believe the quote was “I’m not going to call him a knuckle-dragging Neanderthal for this. I’ll leave that to his wife to do.” Her reply to his comment about her having to deal w/ all the kids instead of speaking at CPAC.
“I will not call him the knuckle-dragging Neanderthal,“ Palin continued. “I'll let his wife call him that instead.“
Sounds like a friendly jab at Rick for suggesting that Palin skipped FUDGEPAC due to maternal responsibilities.
Rick doesn't seem to take offense at it. And Rick Santorum is a rival to Sarah Palin only in the sense that Duncan Hunter was a rival in 2008.
Just another enemedia manufactured catfight which doesn't exist . . . except in their dreams.

Sarah was interviewed by Sean Hannity last night.
I heard the interview and this is what I heard; she responded to Santorum’s statement that she was busy with “all those kids” and was surprised to be told by Hannity that the Santorum’s had seven children of their own (I don’t know if that it true). Sarah responded, it was Rick Santorum’s wife who’s responsible for that “knuckle-dragging Neanderthal”
That is what I heard, but I believe there is a transcript of the interview, so checking is possible.
