If that fails just have a check-off box in the 1040.
Actually, I think this is a smashing idea, to have check boxes on the 1040 form. And not just for NPR and CPB. Liberals should be able to pay lots and lots of money, in *addition* to their taxes, to programs that taxpayers no longer have to fund.
Give $100 to the Department of Education. Great idea. How about $1,000 to Housing and Urban Development? $10,000 to the EPA. $10,000 more to this, that and the other.
Let them put their money where their mouth is.
