Holt: Cain seems more than able to take on presidential race

2006: Stage Four Cancer. Where? Colon and Liver.

“How bad is it, doctor?”

“As bad as it can get,” was the answer.

Following a second opinion, he was referred to MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX. There he received chemotherapy, followed by removal of 30 percent of his colon and 70 percent of his liver and more chemotherapy.

Today, five years later, he is, by all standards, a cancer free walking miracle and life is just about “as good as it gets”! He, Herman Cain, was more than believable when I heard him shout, “The Lord is my Light and my Salvation, and I ain’t afraid of nobody!”

Today, he glows with health and vigor… and anger as well!

Clearly, it is a calm, cool and controlled anger. They say that is the most effective kind… We’ll see ‘cause this Georgia boy is running for President of the United States of America.

Win or lose, he is definitely gonna shake things up a bit!

Two years back, running for the high office had never crossed his mind.

But that was before he heard Obama quote the Declaration like this: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed with certain unalienable rights and that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”

He said Obama left out “endowed by their Creator”.

A short time later he heard a Congresswoman on the floor of the House of Representatives lead in the Pledge of Allegiance and she left out the two little words “under God.”

So now Herman Cain is fighting mad!

Although I have followed Cain for some time, and his multilevel career to date is beyond spectacular,

Cain would make a fine President and prove a black man can actually handle the presidency after the disaster in chief we've got now.

The left would lose it if the GOP ran a Cain-West ticket.

and prove a black man can actually handle the presidency

That seems to suggest there was actually a question about that. Obama is a bad president due to his ideology, not his race. There were plenty of bad white guys before him. To me, his best comparison is to FDR. They have the same destructive ideas on government authority and spending. While some have tried to compare him to Reagan, he's more like Taft, if you're going to pair him up with a Republican.

Anyhow, putting Cain out there in that manner isn't the answer. During the 2008 campaign, Obama lamely said, "I have a bracelet, too," when McCain brought up the issues surrounding Afghanistan.

This is essentially the same thing.

"We have a black guy, too...." isn't a great platform. Look how well it worked with Steele as RNC chairman.

ObaMao isn't even a real black guy. Nothing advertised about him is authentic. His Daddy was at least as much Arab as black.

I've grown to really like Herman Cain. One reason is that he inspires almost Palinesque-like hissy fits from libtards.

Fortunately, Cain is a staunch conservative and not a flighty jive turkey buzzard like Steele

After learning more about Cain, I think it brilliant for the Tea Party to press Cain into service as the candidate for We the People. I had the pleasure of hearing him speak myself. Very impressed, I was. Not only is he infinitely more capable than Obama, he would put to rest all this media bull crap about the Tea Party being a racist organization. Cain/Bachmann? Cain/DeMint? Cain/Palin? I think Cain/Bachmann would be awesome with Palin as RNC chair.

I’ll keep an eye on him. There are people I’ve watched leading up to the primaries in past elections and they were disappointing. Perhaps he will not be.

Sorry to thread hijack a bit, but my brother has melanoma and I have been investigating MD Anderson as the best clinic. If anyone has any info, let me know. Thanks.

Thanks. Melanoma was in the past a one year death sentence, but now there are a number of promising therapies. The problem is they are all cutting edge, not everyone is willing to try them or has the resources. So a trip to MD Anderson looks like it is coming.

I think it depends on the poll. I don’t give CPAC poll much credibility because the ballot boxes are stuffed.

Herman did quite well in these two polls this week:
