Obama's careful formulation - calling on the government to allow protesters to express their grievances but stopping short of calling for a change in leadership - highlighted the sharp differences between the political dynamic that his administration faces in Iran and the one that shaped the recent revolt in Egypt.

It is pretty clear whose side he is on -- that of the anti-US, radical Islamists -- and this is the President of the US!

Iran is already under the full control of Islamic fanatics, Egypt is not. This would be my guess as to why Mohamed Obama is keeping his mouth shut.

Why didn't he call for "someone to slit the Iranian tyrants from ear to ear like slaughtered pigs"? (is how I would have put it)
Seriously, why not just offer an Iranian $10 million in gold for the death of Ahmadinejad and/or the Mullahs?

For starters, there’s no threat of losing military aid when compared to Egypt. But that shouldn’t inhibit a coherent message concerning human rights, not that coherency was delivered on behalf of the Egyptian mobocracy in action.
Because he already has the regime in place that he wants in Iran. One that is ready to destroy Israel.
