CAIRO – Libyan security forces opened fired on mourners at a funeral for anti-government protesters in the eastern city of Benghazi again Sunday, a day after commandos and foreign mercenaries loyal to longtime leader Moammar Gadhafi pummeled demonstrators with assault rifles and other heavy weaponry as well as knives. A doctor at one city hospital said he counted 200 dead in his morgue alone since unrest began six days ago.

The crackdown in Libya is shaping up to be the most brutal repression of the anti-government protests that began with uprisings that toppled the regimes in Tunisia and Egypt. The protests then spread quickly around the region to Bahrain, Yemen, Libya, Algeria, Morocco and outside the Middle East to places including the East African nation of Djibouti and even China.

Pictures of free world leaders shaking the hands of Muslim leaders in the world that are thugs is suppose to shake me? Good Lord the naiveness of some.

Let’s say your child is a bully, maybe even a thug. Do you 1) ban him from your life, family, and home and treat him as a threat or 2) Do you shake his hand with caution as you explain how his life needs to change while giving him the benefit of the doubt.

Libya made a number of gestures to the world that they were changing their ways. Part of the reward for those gestures was world commerce opportunities including, yes, arms. Would you rather Libya employed another 2,500 Chinese for the same arms?

So SO Naive = you.

Wow. I posted a few sentences. You read a novel. I think we have a misunderstanding. In that case I apologize for being unclear.

And Beyonce did a special show for one of Qaddafi’s sons, for two million dollars.

Amazing.

“Gee, what will our fearless president say abd do about this oppressive tyrant?”

Whatever it is, he’ll have to change his statement in a few days. Everything he says results in failure. Fun to watch since nothing credible comes out of his mouth.

Hey (.)bama, you have been called the new Reagan recently. How about handling this as Reagan did. First there was the “line of death” in the Gulf of Sidra, except Morimar did not know whose death he was talking about. Next up, a few F 111s dropping some mail on a few of his tents.

So, what are you going to do, go our for an ice cream cone, a round of golf, or issue another we stand with the union in Wisconsin notes.

(.)bama, don’t go away mad, just go away, PLEASE.

Say it is an internal matter.

And I apologize for the “its all our fault” take I took on your post. It is just that I am so sick of hearing the left blame America, blame the Brits, blame Christianity, and blame conservatism for for everything wrong in the world while they turn a blind eye to Islam, tyrants, and communism and socialism in the world.

"Whose side are you on - the dictator, or the ‘people’ who are wanting freedom?"

Hard to say...these 'people' still want to kill you and me.

Probably not much. Libya doesn’t have the geopolitical importance of Egypt. Egypt is key a a great many things in the Middle East and Obama knows this. He won’t waste his time with Libya because it is much less important in advancing the Caliphate agenda.

White House pleased. I keep typing that answer on all these posts. Why else are they not concerned? He played basketball yesterday with 9 year olds.

Yep.

It's hard for a man to develop any depth of character when he accepts every free ride available (and there are plenty of free rides when you are partially black, muslim, raised in a muslim country, have family in Africa, Marxist, etc., etc., etc).

He is Mister Affirmative Action.

He reminds me of a car dealer in the town where I grew up who was (he claimed) related to everyone in town. He attended every family reunion in town and sold a new car at most (offered a special deal, just for family members;-)).
