If I were in organized labor, I’d seriously think about starting a P.R. union.
The only person who had worse press coverage this week than organized labor was Moammar Gadhafi — and he had to bomb his own people to get it.
As of this writing, union-owned Democratic state senators are still hiding out in cheap hotels across state lines in Illinois. These Wisconsin “flee-baggers” can’t find the courage to show up for work, but they’re on cable news every hour whining about Gov. Scott Walker.
Meanwhile, our own U.S. Rep. Mike Capuano (D-Somerville) was forced to apologize for his comment that “every once and awhile you need to get out on the streets and get a little bloody” — comments he made after pointing out that my fellow Tea Partiers were at the back of the crowd ready to (ahem) donate a few pints.
In Providence, the teachers union president Scott Smith described the arrival of potential layoff notices this way: “Now I know how the U.S. State Department felt on Dec. 7, 1941.”
Layoffs: In the private sector, they’re a part of life. For government workers, they’re another Pearl Harbor.
Do the teachers and their allies have any idea how their threats and tantrums look to the overworked taxpayers who pay their salaries? Taxpayers who can’t retire at 58 and who don’t have guaranteed pensions?
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the average state government employee makes around $49,000, while the private sector average is $45,000. Meanwhile public sector wages are rising (teachers got an average 4.7 percent raise in 2010) while the rest of our wages were flat.

Union enforcers are not about above violence against the citizens either. Andy Stern has been quoted as saying that they use the power of persuasion and if that doesn’t work the persuasion of power.
I’m just wondering if anyone has asked the question of just who is paying the fleabaggers motel bills? If the unions are paying their expenses, then this would be a bribe. If anyone other than the senators themselves are paying the bills, then I believe we may have a RICO violation.
I love this statement..That is just what they are..I heard yesterday on FOX that one of the flee baggers said he could not be on the show because some one was closing in and he had to change his location..That to me sounded like a criminal about to be arrested for something..

We are making a big mistake by using the label “fleebaggers” to describe the fleeing democrat cowards. We should never give them legitimacy for their shameful derogatory use for the Tea Party.

The other thing I’m thinking is that the only reason this is working for those senators is that the bargaining provisions are part of or an amendment to a finance bill and there must be a quorum for finance bills.
That item, however, is policy, and policy is not financial funding.
Strip the amendment from the finance bill; offer it as a separate bill or as an amendment to a different non-finance bill, and the quorum problem goes away.
Tax the excess beneifts to recoup the cost to the taxpayers.
I would guess that Organizing for America is paying the bills, either directly or indirectly. Seems there should be disclosure requirements for these senators to be mandated to report the value of their all-expense paid vacations somewhere and/or pay income tax on the money. IRS? oh, nevermind
Which is why "Constitutional Carry" CCW should be next on the legislative agenda.
I had two union goons come face to face with me when I didn't want to joint the union for a summer job, when I was barely old enough to work. They made their position perfectly clear, I quit the job as they asked, and I have hated unions ever since. Unions are pure evil, and I have no sympathy for their leaders, their thugs, or their members.

I suspect we may have some Freepers in the Wisconsin Senate.
I wrote it and I’m not in the Wisconsin Senate.
Although I would have loved to have been yesterday when they severed the union portion from the financial portion of that bill.
Now the dems are PO’d that they got out-maneuvered.
IF you play games, then the other guy can play games, too. Fortunately, Walker is man enough to do so.

The thugs in the govt unions have shown themselves for what they are. I think when people understand that the removal of collective bargaining (other than for wages) means tenure will be ended and bad employees can be fired they are going to want all govt unions ended.
I think the American people, through the Tea Party, are taking back the country. We see Idaho removing tenure. Ohio is ending collective bargaining and so is Indiana. The Rats should be very nervous.
