On web.....”I’ve spoken to my cousin in Benghazi and the people there are being armed and sent to Tripoli for the battle of Tripoli.” Pray 4 thm”..... 28 seconds ago

Am reading this on several tweet forums.....also that they are waiting now for the ‘no-fly zone’ to go into affect so they can go in and take Tripoli.

Video released of March toward Tripoli today....no gunfire...impressive how they come together down this road....this was just one group....others came from other directions....tomorrow there will be more.

BTW Generals in the peoples army say they have infilitrated Gaddafi groups....24 hours Gaddafi’s rule will end.

Watched the video and pretty much there is no more army to support Gaddafi anyways, by the end of tomorrow or Sunday it will be over for him.

Well Gaddafi might be done by then but the turmoil will not cease for long. I understand the tribes(peoplel) have a firm grasp on the oil fields with military personnel who have defected as well. No telling how long thaat will remain stable although they have leaders who have already met and determined contracts with other countries for oil will remain inforce , but they have the option to renegotiate those which are corrupt deals Gaddafi handed out if not fair to the people.

Which could very well result in infighting over those oil wells.

Of course...and likely others will be coming forward as well in that fray when it starts. But this is where the International community is working behind the scene....they are already negotiating with tribal leaders and will likely come in once there’s a window for that, to secure it further. I doubt very much Britain is going to stand by and let one of their resources go into enemy hands either...but are working with the Tribes as to plans ahead.

I also think the International community have peoples on the borders as well as ready to go once that window opens. So it is then it will be tense as well.

By definition if it’s a Caliphate it’s Sunni. Sunnis are the Mohammedans who regard the Caliphs as the legitimate successors to Mohammed, Shi’ites are the ones who don’t, considering his son-in-law Ali and a succession of Imams (how many depends on the sect of Shi’ite, there are “Threers, Fourers, Seveners and Twelvers).

Given you FReeper screen name, I’d have thought you’d know that.

It is either 600 or 900 miles from Benghazi to Tripoli, does anyone know how good the roads are? There must be a lot of refugee traffic going the other way. Wonder how long it will take to get there.

Don’t know how soon there will be a no fly zone, But government statements tonight said that now that our people are out of the US Embassy, and the ferry has arrived in Malta, and an airplane with others have taken off they are now able to speak more forcefully about actions that are in process. There is a lot of behind the scenes talk going on among the affected countries—US, France, Italy, Turkey, Britain, and others. I guess we will hear more tomorrow.

I heard a Shell oil spokesman just now on Nightline shouting Alarm, Alarm, $5 oil just before the elections. So I took another look at NYMEX Light Crude (to be posted below). High for April $98, May $99, creeping up to $102 by January of 2012, then back down again to below $100. Nothing even close to the $140 to $150 levels of a few years ago when gas was $4 to $5. Those greasy crooks. This fall as oil went over $90 the price went up to $3.07, then it went down to $85, but no down move at the pump. Now it jumps every day up to $3.29 or $3.39. Storage at Cushing, OK is at high levels, lots of oil sitting in tankers waiting for space. Again, those f&*#ing crooks.
Sigh, rant over. Just look at the numbers below.

A lot we won’t hear about. Some of what we hear will be propoganda as well, to distract whatever real plans they have.

As for oil....@120. a barrel we’ll feel that punch. If it goes from there to $140. some are saying it will crash the whole system. It is not the same as it was under carter...our country was not close to the dire straits in now...we’ve exhausted all the backups...and monetizing our debt...with China propping up our government. There just is no wiggle room left now. So it’s not going to take much more to cripple us....

Looks like Farrakhan will have to befriend a new thug in Libya. It shouldn’t take him long.

It will go Islamist/Sharia. If not immediately, then within 1-2 years. Same with Egypt and the other nations under siege. None of this is coincvidental and it’s certainly not a grassroots ‘snowball’ effect, either. And Obathturd is up to his big clown ears in it.

I’m not so sure there will be an Islamic government. I think there is most likely going to be a Russian-style oligarchy. Whoever has the least little bit of power there has seen how the mullahs in Iran took over the money-makers and won’t let the mullahs do the same in Libya. I suspect a more Yeltsin/Putin-type of government will be the one that settles out.

I pulled up Googe Map Earth, and just spent an hour running all over Libya, large and small. It looks as though the distance from Benghazi to Tripoli is 900 miles, mostly through very barren desert land. I tried to find the Green Square in Tripoli, no luck. But I did find the Police Academy just north of the Zoo. Have fun yourself:
