First Amendment: Progressive, cosmopolitan New York City fancies itself the world capital of free thinking. But on one issue, Manhattan might as well be located within a fascist state.

A black clergyman in Texas, the Rev. Stephen Broden, and his organization Life Always wanted to broadcast during Black History Month a potent protest against abortion in a location where millions disagree with his position.

Broden believes "the staggering number of abortions within the African-American community is threatening the sustainability of the African-American race in the United States."

So his group paid for a giant image in Manhattan's SoHo district south of Greenwich Village of a cute 6-year-old black girl in pink ruffles and a bow in her hair, accompanied by the message:

New York City used to be a great place to live and grow up in especially in the fifties and sixties but soon after that it became a home to too many liberal zombie sheep.

Most places were great to grow up in during that time. Times sure have changed.

It did indeed, I am glad I lived in Westchester county and had access to the city, during that time span.

I don’t understand their choice of location for posting their ad. Why in soho ? no alternatives ? or they were too expensive ?
