[The president is supposed to be a friendly and folksy character, and waving as if he gives a shit helps to foster such an image. Usually, Obama pulls it off just fine, with a big happy grin. But sometimes, he just can't fake it, and the look on his face reveals how grudgingly and unenthusiastically he is performing this charade for us.]
Interesting commentary; on the 'wave, that is not'.
Obama has another interesting and IMHO, very irritating, body language MO. . .whereby he reveals either an insecure Obama; or simply, his arrogant self - or both - as he makes greeting.
While in 'handshake'; Obama's hand goes immediately to the 'others' shoulder, elbow. or back - or just, his hand on top of handshake, as he attempts, literally, to gain the upper hand or ommunicate dominance. Altogether, obnoxious. . .
And we know obnoxious, of course and as well, when Obama's fingers, get into his messaging. . .

Yes, this (and post 43) re the 'down-turn' mouth or 'upside down' smile per Obama; this is expression, we see so often. AmazingObama's 'facials' that always seem to betray his worst.
Michelle, also, has 'face' and expression, that invites speculation. . .and often, confirms the worst.
